Classic Japanese training here, I remember our coach (three time Japanese national champion in collegiate wrestling) would have us do many similar things. He had a great sense of humor too: one colleague was called 'bad shoulder,' another 'pineapple head',' and there was 'Jim Dandy' (a heavyweight who ordered a huge Jim Dandy sunday at Friendly's on the way back from competition). Great video, she is a real national treasure.

Jiu Jitsu and Judo were the same martial art. The kanji of Judo is 柔道（flexible/soft way/path）, Jiu Jitsu is 柔术（flexible/soft method/technique）. Jiu Jitsu were first introduced to Brazil by Japanese immigrant Judo martial artists 100+ years ago . But modern sport rules gradually separate them apart.

@@creatcodebuild7180 It's a bit confusing. Judo comes from japanese jiu jitsu (aka ju jutsu). There is no single japanese jiu jitsu style, there are many and it's a thousand years old. Then they decided to call the brazilian martial art that derived from judo jiu jitsu as well. But I guess it's accurate in the end. Brazilian jiu jitsu is one of the many jiu jitsu styles available.
