POV: It’s a summer’s night, you’re with the person whom you’ve loved since the day you met (whether it be at the start of a friendship, helping you out, or just simply bumping into each other and the rest is history, etc). You guys are driving in a nice car going to a summer party. It’s fun, the person you love is dancing, having the time of their lives. You guys are both having drinks, but not to the point where you guys are drunk cause you still gotta drive home. You’re thinking to yourself, “I can do this... tonight, they will be mine.” You’ve been thinking about this for weeks before the party, plotting how it goes down. Before you can do anymore thinking and plotting, you look up to find them talking to someone. That someone is obviously flirting with them, they’re awkwardly laughing, not interested in the person hitting on them. You’re jealous, thinking you can’t just let the love of your life be swept away so easily. You start to get angry from all of the over thinking, walking over you grab the one you love by the wrist and pull them away from all the dancing to the large backyard. You can still hear music from the inside of the house very clearly and someone is setting off illegal fireworks. They’re mad at you cause you pulled them away so suddenly cause they didn’t want to be rude. You guys both start arguing with each other. (Que music at 2:57 and keep reading from there) The one you love finally says, “ I don’t get why you’re acting like this now, I didn’t want to be rude, I was going to reject them regardless.” You get even more upset, “but you shouldn’t be letting some random stranger hit on you like that! I was only looking out for you. Why can’t you see that?” you say. “I don’t need you to look out for me, I can’t hold up on my own, y/n!” “I know! But why can’t you see!” “See what?!” “S-see th-th-that” “See what, y/n!?” “Why can’t you see that I love you... I love you god dammit... why can’t you see that I don’t want someone else to just come swoop on in and take you away from me... I don’t want to see you give all your love to someone cause I want you to give it all to me! I know it sounds so selfish but it’s the truth! I love you.” You grab ahold of their hands, pulling them in closer so you can embrace them in a hug. Repeatedly saying ‘I love you’ to them. “I love you too, y/n.” You pull back to look them in the face, surprised at the response you heard. They smile. “I’ve always loved you, and I don’t want to stop loving you.” They lean in, kissing you softly. You kiss back as the music in the background plays and the fireworks go off. (Jesus, this sounds like a wattpad fanfic)

ooooh this is one of those songs where i close my eyes and let myself imagine my crush, but this is the second time ive thought about a different person my last crush is already in a relationship, we're still really good friends and i never confessed to them but it was really hard for me, i told myself id get over it and well, i did! but lately ive been hanging out with another friend of mine more and he makes me really giddy and happy and blushy, i can talk to him about my struggles, my interests, my struggles in love without feeling guilty. we have really similar interests and its really nice to talk to him! im still not really sure if im in love with him or if its just me being weird but, i think this song has made me realize that i might- actually like him?? the only issue is that hes an online friend so itd be kind of hard,,, but im still willing to give it a shot! im gonna keep hanging out with him and getting closer to him, and if i realize im actually in love i think i'll eventually confess, i'll keep you guys updated if you want me to :] edit;; HI!! we ended up confessing 2 eachother and we've been dating 4 just over a month :D edit , 4/21/21 ;; hey guys felt like i should update this!! we ended up breaking up, and i entered two other relationships (one in december, ending in january - the other starting in late feb, ending late march) i broke up with them because i needed to get my shit together and process everything going on and fix how warped my view on love was. they understood and we left on good terms. i fixed my warped view on love and focused on myself and processing what it was like to be single again, refreshing my memories on it and such. my view on relationships and love was warped by the idea of 'if youre not in a relationship, youre failing in some way' which was something my parents pushed heavily and so did those around me, i could never tell if i really loved someone or was just scared or bored and it was a horrible thing to experience and i realized i would only hurt people and myself if i continued like that concerning my 'last crush' - aka the one that was in a relationship, they broke up in december of 2020 and my feelings for them had actually never really gone away? (ive had a crush on them for a year) they were just sort of there but i still loved my other partners. before i went into my previous relationship (late feb-late march) i confessed on valentines day, and got a 'maybe later' response that i took as a rejection, it didnt change our relationship though. we've been very close and we;ve only gotten closer as time has progressed, and on april 1st, 2021 they confessed to me and we began dating. for once im not worried or second guessing if i really love them or if im just bored! i love them so much, theyve been there for me for so long and im just so happy that we met eachother and are now dating edit, 12/23/21 (tw sh mention) oh boy ok so ummm we broke up like 4 months ago if you cn really even call it a breakup he literally just blocked me and didnt let me respond to his message lol um he was really manipulative and emotionally abusive and guilt trippy, he defended his friend who told me to die and made me sh so um. yeah

This song is so nostalgic it’s beautiful. It definitely gives me main character vibes, it feels like going on the free way blasting this music in your car or going to a park with your friends and dancing in the rain or like the sprinklers come on and you start dancing this omg makes me feel alive.

heres a little story that this song inspired me to write POV: your childhood crush invited you to go somewhere. you dont know where he is taking you, its a surprise. he picks you up from your house and drives. you get impatient and ask where hes going. "just wait," he says. about 15 minutes later, he drives down a rocky driveway and you see a beautiful, glistening lake. the trees are a fiery orange color and you can hear birds chirping and nature stirring. he opens his trunk and pulls out a picnic blanket and your favorite food. you eat lunch on the bank and talk for hours about everything imaginable. you go into detail about your life and how sometimes it just hurts to live. your eyes start to tear up. he stares deep into your honey brown eyes and gently grabs your chin. he tells you that he cant live without you. after he says this, your lips meet. this caught you by surprise, but you didnt fight back. he pulls away. your cheeks get red and you are embarrassed. your eyes meet again and he sits and admires your natural beauty. "what?" you say. "i love you, y/n."

*pov: you’re laying in the rain and suddenly realize you’re in love with that one person. you run out onto the street and they are there running to you too, it’s perfect timing that they showed up. you meet in the middle of the street and all is magical*
