I never cared about karate or kung fu movies. My buddy made me go to watch a movie in 1973 in Center City Philadelphia. It was called the Chinese connection. Most of the crowd was black. I have never experienced anything like this in a movie theater before in my life or on the screen. The screams and yells and excitement. I felt like I was in the middle of a Beatles concert. Then watching Bruce on the screen I cannot put in the words how I felt that day. I was a Bruce Lee fanatic forever. There was only one problem Bruce had passed away a week earlier. So I never got to see him while he was alive. Since that day there has never been anyone to compare in fighting or screen presence. As him.

When he gives that laugh 😂😂😂😂 OMG! He was incredibly funny. But he got along just as well in dramatic scenes. He expressed every emotion, feeling in an excellent way. Actors who can do this are very rare.

Another movie about Bruce Lee made with Tony Leong. Called Bruce Lee my brother. I don't remember if it told this part of his life. The story was told by Robert Lee.

The film's discovery is among the most unexpected of our treasure-hunt stories. It was found before the Archive even had a temporary office, when Dennis Tong, the then manager, was in the UK researching how to set up film archives. It so happened that Rank Film Laboratories had in its storage facilities for the negatives of some Chinese-language films and asked Tong to take a look. He immediately recognised the importance of those films, one of them is The Orphan. Tong then arranged delivery of the precious negatives left overseas back to Hong Kong. Many film companies of the 1950s and 1960s developed their films in the UK, taking only the finished copies but leaving behind the negatives due to a lack of storage space.

The two I wanna SEE & Hear in English more than anything are: his Final tv interview on (July 5th 1973) & his episode on the Blondie series (1969)

Amazing how art imitates life. Bruce could not shake his troublesome youth as depicted in his movies. In real life Bruce found trouble with the law and was forced to leave his country or face jail time. Had he been a straight-A student and followed in his older brother Peter's footsteps, we may have never known about Bruce or his greatest accomplishments.

Thanks very much for sharing. This is the longest I have seen of The Orphan. Bruce Lee (李小龙) was such a dancer.

I saw this movie in 2018 at a screening in New York with less than 10 people in the audience. Absolutely fantastic film. I tried to record it in secret but the camera corrupted so it was all gone unfortunately.

Fans including me would be so happy to see it. there is also a petition about it, to which I have joined. I really hope it will be released soon on DVD. 🙏
