In 1982, the 1st version of The Us Festival happened, attracting a then-ridiculous-sounding 400,000 people in attendance across a 3-day weekend.
One of the acts on the first day, New Wave Day, was The MIGHTY B-52s. !
Thanks to the miraculous infusion of cash and technology from Steve Wozniak, who organized the festival we have The B-52s LIVE at The Us Festival.

Kate Pierson - What Tallent she has, Watch the clips ..... she's on those Key Boards playing the Synth Bass like a demon possessed - hell who needs a Bass Player when Kates on her Watch - Pure Tallent X Both Kate & Cindy together - were A Force to be Reconed with..........and with Rickey & Keith backing them up how could they not succeed ! HISTORY WAS BEING MADE .......................... .

A group like this couldn't happen or at least could not get as popular due to the music industry today. Ruined ruined ruined music. It makes me nauseous and want to cry when I listen to what passes as music now. No real melody, no cleaver use of chord changes. No innovation. That is what the industry wants... its a safe bet. They take no risks on creativity... and young people don't know any better... its all they know. The industry uses the media to promote mediocrity. Taylor Swift has more Grammys than the Beatles, steely dan, etc?????? Its done.
