At K. I. Sawyer AFB we had lots of bad weather returns to base. On one mission I talked to the radar controllers about making approaches. He said the crews did not follow their guidance to land as well as they wished. On my next sortie, I told him I'd give the controllers a true test to guide me to touchdown. I'd follow directions unless I was taken too far off course. As you can see they did a great job.
