The B-25 Mitchell, a twin-engine medium bomber from North American Aviation, was widely used during World War II, standing out in the "Doolittle Raid" over Tokyo in 1942. In Brazil, these planes were acquired to help defend the coast against enemy submarines and for maritime patrol missions, serving in the Brazilian Air Force during and after the conflict.
