I am a 64 year old pilot and former r/c model maker and flyer and I must say that I enjoyed this film immensely!! Wonderful piloting performance and a beautiful model of one of my all time favorites. I wonder how much that model weighs?? It sure flies nicely. I could Invision Kessler or Harold Krier doing an inverted ribbon cut on the deck! Thanks

130 Kg is around 286 pounds.

I’m a full scale & Large scale RC pilot and currently restoring my 1946 J-3C Piper Cub and if I put this much time in building a plane this size it gonna be sitting my butt in it and flying it. Lol. Not with a remote control. 🤣 Hats 🎩 off to the builder though. 🤙🏼😃🤙🏼👍🏼

Why not a camera - or "cameras" - in the cockpit! What a show that would be!

Beautiful plane, skilled pilot and great cameraman. The sound of that engine made me a bit sat. This plane is just craving for a radial. Is there even a radial rc engine in this size?

The plane was *washed* *too* *hot* . Now it has shrunk to the model. Folks, do not wash your models too hot! Or wash yourself with the over-temperature, so you can fly again.

Surprised they let him fly so close to the audience while doing aerobics. My Mong Sport biplane is about the same size and carries a human.

I see now, the weight is posted in the title @ 130 kg or 286 pounds. Wow, that is 35% the weight of a full scale real 1946 Piper J-3 Cub!

I wonder how well that 'fence' would stand up to this plane coming at it in a mishap?

The transmitters aren’t that big. A lot of European RC pilots don’t like holding the transmitter in their hands but rather put the transmitter into a console. Thereby they can rest their hands on the console and control the sticks with 3 fingers rather than only the thumb. I personally prefer a console for that very reason.

I look at the damage a RC model can inflict on people and property this is a dangerous airplane. In the US it would be classified as an experimental plane. I get it it’s a beaut and the pilot is awesome, but it’s still a remotely piloted plane that can crash out of control. 😬 well done build and video the pilot flys it well no doubt, but just saying 🙀

MrKenrwi Hes flying at sanctioned airfield, and he would have this model regestered and also carry AMA coverage. All the safety factors ARE in place.

This size is borderline ridiculous. What's next duplicating the actual size or quadruple or even better make a model plane the size of the 'death star'.

The engineering skills are superb and the flying is a treat to watch but it isn't a model! I would call it a remotely controlled 75% (or so) version of the Bucker - not a model. Very nice, though! And one day it will crash................

That pilot seemed a bit snooty! sitting there ignoring everyone for the whole video!!

Thanks Peter, but I meant the model pilot in the cockpit!....it was a rather poor attempt at a joke! The actual RC pilot on the ground is obviously superb as is the model itself!
