Azure Monitor Agent (AMA) collects monitoring data from the guest operating system of Azure and hybrid virtual machines and delivers it to Azure Monitor for use by features, insights, and other services, such as Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for Cloud. Azure Monitor Agent replaces all of Azure Monitor's legacy monitoring agents. This article provides an overview of Azure Monitor Agent's capabilities and supported use cases.

The concept is perfect. Thanks one more thing if you can add with the deployment of this DCR and Azure Monitor with custom Data source custom performance logs instead of basic for VMs with help of Azure policy, alert and action group in this series

This video series has been awesome so far and well worth the price for joining the channel. Will you be doing one on migrating from MMA to AMA as well as some of the pitfalls to watch out for when doing this, like doubling the amount of logs that you ingest.

Thank you for watching our content. Yes for sure, we will be posting one for migration. We will try to include details as much as possible. However doubling data ingestion part can be handled with the help of phased deployment. However for the scenarios where ama acts as a collector is a challenge.
