Correction - 5:33 The was a typo that I read. The damage reduction amount for Kursk when she is alone, is 25% at max level, not 15% (which is the amount at the min level). Correction 2 - 5:02 Kursk was changed to only being able to now equip only CA guns rather than both CA and CL guns.

For people wondering what Kursk is based on, she's based on Project X. A Soviet design for a muti-purpose heavy cruiser, armed with 9.4in. guns & with many design plans taken from the Japanese Mogami-class light/heavy cruisers and the Tone class heavy/aircraft cruiser. Ōyodo had some of her design elements used for Project X.

@@KaoruMzk It was, in the same way that most of the German and Soviet designs were real. Someone made the effort to come up with them, but they weren't particularly realistic and were never seriously looked at to be built

I could honestly take or leave the ships, but I really like the event format. The challenges for bonus cognitive chips/arrays are a nice touch too, and I'd like to see them add more of these optional objectives in future events. 17:30 It is notable at least for being yet another firepower auxiliary useable by destroyers that is event locked. As one of a handful of people who still care about gunnery destroyers, in absence of a generic firepower auxiliary stronger than autoloader, it is a must-have, particularly since some if its better peers (Battle Tracto Max and Bubble Bullet) may be reserved for specific ships. Fits quite nicely on Tashkent in particular.

Events like Atelier is great. An equipment event for getting the old ships to usable status would be nice.

Yeah that event i have spend 20k oil and 70+ 2x to get materials to craft equipment and you know the collab wont coming back in the future

Yep nice catch.

So far the event is pretty dang nice. The ships are OK, but the game play is different, a LOT faster to progress cuz ur not moving about a map. The story is pretty cool! We get to overview a large scale attack in the artic. And we get some unique gear and onsen.

Cool event, I like the format a lot. Also, the art team is having a cracked 2023, the ship girls, skins, loading screens, all have been top quality so far this year. Maybe even some of my overall favorites. Between that and the event stories and characters, really looking forward to all the new stuff for this year. I was a little put off by the Musashi story personally so I was a little worried about the future events but I'm really looking forward to where things go!

Glad that they are mixing things up for this event. Looking forward to playing.

I think it's nice to have another NP light cruiser. I love to make theme teams to use in OpSi but none of the NP light cruisers have been particularly enticing to use. Kuybyshev kind of was but I think I like Voroshilov better, especially her design. Not to mention that skin.

NP actually has a decent vanguard lineup (Kronk, Chappy, Tashkent, Pamiat, Tallinn, Kuyby... even Kiev, Kirov, and Avrora were decent). It's the main fleet where they struggle.

Liking the event so far. Interesting new mechanics for sure! The revised UI is fairly good, at least by mobile game standards, lol. Takes a bit to sort out some of the finer details and messaging. (ie: you have to hunt to find the indicator noting that these missions are indeed oil capped) But overall, enjoying the new twist on the usual gameplay. /tbh, if not for that Grozny skin, this'd be a perfect event on all fronts.

Yes it's an interesting but simple enough change.

Voroshilov has the same VA as Yuuka from BA and the game must have picked up on that because I got four copies.

The b2b recent UR events + the rerun that just happened AND now this. It’s cool but also hard on the cubes, even with the temporary extra 60 or so we can get from the shop. But god bless those skins. Worth it.

iirc last year also had a blitz early year of events and low downtime but later in the year they slowed down a bit more, im hopeful that now that ive been around for almost two years ill start to hit more reruns that i can just farm and not pull for and build up

Is QE Meta's VA hidden away somewhere that can find or do you think they're going to wait until the story catches up before they release QE Meta's voice/VA? Almost feels like she's some sort of combo of the ships from the lines. Now that I write that I'd love for them to do HMS Zubian, then Franken-Tribal. Or just more Tribals in general... And over 300-400 cubes? The only times I've missed getting ships is when I had over 200, so never again. Usually stay around 150ish and if you play, you'll get more lol And always need to turn them into damn chips anyways...

@@alexiosblake9804 Renown META does have a voice, it was added a while ago, but you need to enable it by going to Archive > Details and select the number 2 on Biography

Cruise Pass stuff is in cause next patch is April 6. Vauquelin is ❤ but I already own her swimsuit and doubleskins is still poorly supported in AL (Despite it having an almost full skinbased economy). Reserve judgement on the new event till I played it. FP aux item might be good for Tashkent? After this event its "minievent rerun". Some expect 2 weeks of Foch, I think its a skin and NJ will turn up the 13th. Who's right? We will see...

I enjoyed this event. They might need to time gate some of the progression in the future. It is possible to finish the story in 1 day. A buff to coins received for multi fleet runs would be nice.

@@AzurLaneMeta Maybe increasing rewards as an event goes on? Start with a 1x multiplier and slowly bump it up. Fay 2 would be 1.1x, ect.

Yuuka an EVA tank? I mean I guess her new item adds some EVA for her, but it was mostly to make up for her not having much to begin with. I've always thought of her as a shield tank.

@@AzurLaneMeta she was evasion tank for story but not for pvp, with the new T7 Badge gear which gives her evasion stat and also her bond gear gices % evasion stat too so she is currently best tank on pvp

@@AzurLaneMeta yeah Yuuka is an evasion tank, most know her for her shield ex skill that lets her survive hits that could probably kill her. Before t7 and the bond gear she was kinda like Tsubaki very evasive but lacks the bag gear so her defense stats remains bad. With t7 gear and bond gear things turned around quickly she is so hard to hit, but is still balanced by her bad defense if she gets hit it will hurt.

Hot springs for the win. It's about time we got some. I'm looking forward to this event

Easy, Medium, and Hard give all consistent rewards. SP and EX are 1 win per day. Hard multi fleet is 420 points per run.

Yes one per day for the SP map. This is similar to the normal SP mode for events (rather than the world boss raid mini events you are likely referring to).

Why does Mainz's skin look so derpy? Even its circumstance is almost like that Eyjafjalla skin from a while back...

The substitute artist (who is the same as Emden, Littorio, Chen Hai...) did the PR Mainz new alt skin ever since the OG Liduke is never gonna come back to Azur Lane (or Girls' Frontline) because of his!/her delicate position in the Arknights committee

Scylla stole a ton of my cubes from the last event (162 pulls before i got her!) but i had almost all of the italian event girls and basically cruised with the free pulls. Dock space is where im hurting too but im meme'ing it up with 420 space (h3h)

50% chance to proc sevastopol's skill, wait about 6 months and we will get a new augment module that will make it much higher or remove the chance and make it guaranteed lol. Wishful thinking for sure but we already chance it with helena's radar proccing, its a pretty eh gamble but im kind of ok with it not being a surefire thing, i know for metagaming out the meta fights and siren bosses it hurts but warfare is never exact, these are meant to be personified warships and having a chance to "fail" or make a mistake is something that is common especially this era. Overall bumping it up to 60-80 seems ok, but also make helena's higher too lol

SO much this ^^ I could careless abou thte META ships. They are fun to fight against and gauge comp damages, but as far as the actual ships you aquire most are hardly worth the time and effort. I gave up even bothering with them after the 2nd one. I check the community tier list from time to time and aside from Helena Meta, the rest are MIA. They just eat up prime dock space for no reason, so I agree please gives us option to retire them!

Wish they would let us (unless I'm missing something here) to delete/scrap META ships. I have absolute ZERO interest in using any of the META ships we get thru "Cruise Missions". To me they're all garbage. Yet I'm forced to let several (and more coming sadly) sit in my dock. I try to avoid cruise missions completely, but some of the 'rewards' are pretty good. I've yet to find a way to scrap/delete these garbage ships :/ If it was possible to hate any ship, it would be these garbage meta ships.

You can't retire or get rid of them. Kind of a passive way from them to force a dock expansion for gem out of you, so I just retire elite or ssr ships thats useless,plenty of those out there. I feel your pain Moon.
