Musashi also negates submarine crashes, if I’m reading her skill correctly. People that were having trouble clearing w14, or fighting against the Iron Blood METAs (when they eventually come back) will have an easier time using her.

Actually, I think they might want to try slower fire huge battleship to shake up meta. If Yamato gonna greatly buff IJN backline firepower and her sistership Musashi, imagine 30 sec count down before those Yamato main fleets they start their onslaught that wreak everything at 30 sec mark in PVP.

First new ship of the banner I got was Musashi at ship roll 25-27. While certainly cool, the last time I opened the banner with the UR, I wasn't able to get the one of the SR ships until the near end of the banner. Still getting a start on prepping Musashi for fleet deployment is good. Not even starting the retrofits or augments until all ships are pulled since I'm running low on coins as is.

So Ayanami's augment not only makes her overall better, but also brings her back to the forefront of torp reset memes. She'll have a 3 second window where she can utilize both the initial +100% as well as proccing her skill for an additional 60%. Phew. Musashi's gun just looks like a straight upgrade for UvH in off-flag. She's gonna be absolutely deadly with that thing.

Would you recommend using the Yamato gun on Ulrich Von Hutten given she's got such a huge reduction to reload? I only have one PR2 UR gun which is on New Jersey, so UVH's damage is a little hindered with the Chapagne gun.

Sooo... Miyuki produces a few initial damage instances with low numbers at the start of battle in order to more quickly trigger Haguro's skill without taking too much damage? That sounds like the design idea behind that. Not, that I'd normally want to have both of them on my vanguard. But then again: They look nice. Especially Miyuki.

12:56 - would be interesting to try a PvP vanguard of Anchorage, Noshiro, and Sakawa. Unless I missed something, Noshiro's TRP buff should stack on Sakawa's selfTRP buff, meaning a total TRP boost of 40% for Sakawa.

i'm probably going to try using the aux UR gear from the Vanguard UR event on Musashi to speed up her reload. i have it on UvH right now

Idk, problaby well down the line as they run out of ships. The patten they tend to follow is that of actual historical events. The ships with multiple sister ships tend to get the one with the most battle experience/decoration (battle stars). We all thought Iowa or Missouri, but we got NJ. Historically it made sense, as NJ was the most decorated of the 4. Yamato is the most known, but Musashi saw more action and actually had more of a sway in the war, if brief. Yamato just sailed around and then was torped on her way to being beached as an artillery platfrom lol We techncially already have an IJN on-flag buffer with Nagato. Who despite being power-crept in pretty much every area, still has one of if not the strongest on-flag barrage in the game, while also buffing IJN ships.

Triple 460mm u can freely put on Musashi but with AFire Control Table. I think that it'll help a lot, so just use it. Need to test tho but I personally think that Musashi with it build will overdmg New Jersey.

Do we know if Musashi's barrage is always centered or always in front of her? If it's always centered, she might be a good replacement for Amagi in a Nagato/Amagi/Shinano backline for PvP. If not, it might be a toss-up between Musashi, Amagi or Hiryuu for a "pure" IJN fleet. Although I could also see some Pacific fleet shenanigans with like... Nagato/NJ/Shinano, Juneau/Naganami/Shimakaze or something to that effect. Maybe Ayanami over Naganami with that new module. Gonna have to think about this one.

i tried her out. her barrage is always in front of her. which is a problem because her barrage will have a lower chance of hitting the enemy if its at the side but if you put her in the flagship her damage reduction wont occur. so either you want the barrage to hit in the center or have a 30% damage reduction.

What I find to be nutty is how Juneau's retrofit allows her to have the second-highest anti-air stat of all the CLs- just 67 points under Sandy kai!

@@blacksage81 Emden is also a good buffer for Iron Blood, BB. Also, the two GOOD, AP BB guns that can sync with Helena's 16 sec buff are both Eagle Union. If new Eagle Union ships are forced into EU guns that can be another way to lock Helena to her faction. Also, the other big dmg carriers running double torp or double bomb are suuper slow on their air strike, can take 23-24 seconds to reload. Like Shinano n Haku, so if Helena doesn't proc the first strike, and procs on the second, she can proc at 40 seconds, but the air strike isn't till 48 seconds, giving you a 2 second window and you'll definitely not sync with her third. To make it sync you'll have to trade potential raw damage for timing.... or u can just run ur Kazagumo and another Torpedoe ship to try make up the damage and make it consistent. I think most/all the Eagle Union carriers are locked into running fighters which brings their times down making them easier to sync with Helena and letting you run double gold catapult. Overall... Totally fine with it as I really enjoy running faction fleets vs meta fleets.

Its the modifier (Airspace Control Value or ACV) when you enter a chapter, based on your fleets AVI rating vs the chapters. In laymans terms, what it means in reality think of it like this to remember; If your fleets AVI is far too low vs the chapters base AVI rating, then your air power is "incapable" , completely ineffective, shot down instantly. "denied" is the next one up. Most will be shot down, some get through, but still largely ineffective. Air "Parity", means you are around equal to the base chapters AVI rating, thus your air power is basically equal to the chapters aviation. Then theres "Air Superiority" Basically, most get through, some get shot down and then finally "Air Supremacy" Everything gets through, no threat from opposing aviation. On the game side its this in actuality; Supremacy- Increases aerial damage dealt by 20%, decreases aerial damage taken by 10%, increases your fleet's Accuracy by 10%, and decreases the ambush rate by 8% Superiorty- Increases aerial damage dealt by 12%, decreases aerial damage taken by 6%, increases your fleet's Accuracy by 5%, and decreases the ambush rate by 5% Parity- Decreases aerial damage dealt by 6% and increases aerial damage taken by 3% Denial- Decreases aerial damage dealt by 12%, increases aerial damage taken by 6%, and decreases your fleet's Accuracy and Evasion by 3% Incompatibility- Decreases aerial damage dealt by 20%, increases aerial damage taken by 10%, and decreases your fleet's Accuracy and Evasion by 8%

Forget power creeping the older ships let’s just power creep the best UR with another UR 💀 Oh the poor sirens. Now I’m curious what the Iowa and Yamato will look like. Though the thing is in terms of accomplishments I think New Jersey had the most. There’s probably one other Iowa class that might make it and that’s Missouri given how known she is. Edit: "You could get potentially 3 Juneau deaths in a single pvp battle. That is super exciting." - Excuse me sir? Once or twice isn't enough? The augment for Ayanami looks great and probably returns her to useable compared to some of the other DD's we've been having. Pre-loaded torps that will just absolutely nuke stuff, more torp damage and crit rate helps buff her damage, and the damage res is good for her survivability (on top of the fact she gets more TRP and HIT stat). Illustrious' buffs her damage with a barrage which I think is ok and the healing if the shield breaks just gives her a little bit of healing power and with the dmg res is nice. Monty's I feel like is really good. Chances are you'll be using the steering gear for survivability so removing the FP debuff is good for keeping her damage up. And on top of that instead of a 40% boost it's a 80% boost which I think is great considering you'd most likely be using her for some of her AA potential. On top of now being more tanky with a straight 15% dmg res I can see her being pretty useable (personally I think she already was a pretty damn well rounded light cruiser) I know Ayanami wins big given that she used to be very strong and this gear does make a difference, but I wouldn't overlook the monty gear either. Not sure exactly how effective 80% AA buff for 3 seconds is but that DMG res 15%, removal of debuffing her FP, and a chance to buff her damage certainly isn't bad.

I hope all 4 of the completed Iowas make it in. There’s another 2 that were never completed (Kentucky and Illinois), but they’ll probably be added last, if at all. There’s also the Montana which I’m hoping we’ll see in PR6 as the first USS DR. As for IJN Ships, there was supposed to be another Yamato class, only 3 got named. They’re of course Yamato, Musashi, and Shinano but the 4th only got a number. Also, another interesting thing about the Iowa class in-game, they are only tier 9, so maybe the Montana(s) will be tier 10. There’s still plenty of powerful ships left to be added for all factions, even though some are running out. -KMS has been on paper ships for awhile, and not too long ago go they got some WW1 era ships added. -As for IJN they only have Yamato, then it’s on to paper ships. -USS has the most, other than the UR BBs, there’s Midway, Alaska and Guam, Des Moines, and Worcester. Plus all of the other ships that could be good but not overly amazing like Indiana, Taxes, the rest of the Oakland Sub Class, the Baltimores, Allen M. sumners, Johnston, so on and so on. -Can’t really think of any other super powerful ships off the top of my head but I probably missed some.

@@pizzabob23 I know that WoWs and Azur Lane seem to piggy back (well, moreover Azur Lane does like gaining some inspiration from WoW's blueprint ships) With this, I do expect Montana being a PR ship. I don't really see them adding another Yamato class outside of the 3 that will be in the game (eventually). For Iowa-class, I see squeezing 6 of the same class of these UR-level battleships as a bit too many. I would only seeing them doing *at most* the 4 built, and imo most likely only 3 which are well known (Iowa, NJ, and Missouri are known comparably more than Wisconsin) I think the game still needs to take a uniqueness route in new ships and having 3 of the same class of BB's I think is enough for Azur Lane. Chances are they'll all be UR level after all, but idk maybe they'll drop Missouri at the SSR level but I doubt it. As for Des Moines-class heavy cruisers, maybe 2 is the number I would go for. Salem is a museum ship if I'm not mistaken, and Des Moines is the head-ship of the class. There's also the Alaska-class eventually. Midway would be a nice add as personally I think the USS in Azur Lane lack that large impactful damaging Carrier (What I mean is compare some of the carriers the USN has with Shinano or Haku. Personally, I think the IJN carriers are in a different class of power). Midway would certainly be a UR-level when compared to the Essex-class Though, to be honest, the Essex-Class were truly the dominant force during WWII. I agree with you, the USN no doubt had an incredible navy and has absolutely no problems with adding more and more powerful ships (and weaker ones). The next up would be the IJN. Next down the line would be the RN. The others I see eventually dropping off simply because their navies did not compare in size and power. It's kinda a shame though because the built flagships like Bismarck were certainly powerhouse ships despite them being sunk in the way they were. I think it can also be said for ships like JB and Richelieu. Not really sure where those nations can go besides just a bunch of blueprint ships in the future (though we are already at that point, unless they add a bunch of same-class ships which to be fair they do do)

@@mastersanada Yep, again hopefully PR6 for Montana. The only way I see the 4th Yamato being added is if WoWs does it first and gives it a name. Even then it probably won’t be for a very long time. Again, I doubt the 5th and 6th Iowa will be added anytime soon. The only way that I see those two getting in is very far down the line and if 1. USS runs out of other top tier BBs, and 2. If there are contemporary ships from other factions. As for adding a lot of BBs for one class, I really don’t see the issue. I understand there needs to be variety but, as long as they are spaced out and not identical, I don’t think that should make it so a ship won’t get added. Take the South Dakota Class, all 3 of them are different with unique uses, albeit they have similar base stats. Alabama as a mob flag ship, Massachusetts as an off flag shelling, and South Dakota is general use with a very niche use coupled with Washington. There’s just Indiana left, she could be more supportive/defensive in nature, given her service history. Even if stats are similar, skills are what define a ship and there almost unlimited potential with that. Just like how NJ is an all rounder, Musashi is more geared toward chapter 14 and heavy armor bosses. Yamato will probably be a flag ship with powerful support skills for other IJN ships, Iowa may be the USS version, with flag ship focused skills and fleet buffs for USS ships. Missouri could be more supportive/defensive in nature and Wisconsin could be more offensive in nature. But who knows. As for Des Moines, we probably won’t see her for a long time, (2 or more years is my guess). There’s only one UR heavy cruiser in the game, Drake, so Salem or Des Moines could be the USS contemporaries, but I don’t see both getting added for a long time. Also, I say 2 years or more because I think it would make more sense to add Midway next year. This is assuming USS gets another UR event, which I think it’s likely because USS is a popular faction and it has a lot of ships still left to be added. As for how many Midways get added, I’d be fine with just the one, as she would most likely be the most powerful carrier. I don’t know about IJN carriers being in “a different class of power”. Shinano is way too OP compared to what she was (would have been) irl. She was supposed to be a “heavily armored support carrier” not a full on fleet carrier. She would have essentially acted as a glorified US escort carrier, carrring extra planes, manpower, fuel, and munition for the other carriers. I have no issue with her being in the game or powerful, just not the most realistic adaptation. Haku, at least according to WoWs, was the contemporary of the Midway. Also, a carrier is nothing without is planes and pilots. Late in the war (44-45, even starting in 43) US pilots were, on average, much more experienced, better trained, and had better planes. Of course, this can’t be reflected in game, but IJN carriers aren’t in their own class. At most, they’ll match some of the USS Carriers. I think we are getting Alaska as the last UR this year, at least I hope. She was teased earlier in the year during the Russian UR event. As for Guam, we won’t see her for a long time. Probably not until IJN or another faction gets a second large cruiser. I completely agree that some factions will probably just drop off because there’s no more ships. Look as KMS, they had 3 new events in the past 9ish months. Starting with UvH, then the SMS ships, then Blucher and the other BB. Not to mention the PR and DR ship they got in PR 4 and the other one they got in PR5, all of this in about a year time span. I wish they would space out a factions events more, because some go well over a year without a new event (see HMS) while another gets several in a relatively short time span. All that KMS has left is older WW1 era ships, U boats and Destroyers. Unless I’m missing some stuff, which I more than likely am. On the bright side, Azur Lane isn’t slowing down, and has many years left. It gets more popular every year. So, we’ll continue to get more ships. We’re just not too sure how the devs are going to go about it. I have faith in them though, they done a good job so far.

7:02 Not even close. She has power crept NJ by almost double, atleast in damage anyway. I missed her by a week as I was in the hospital, but I borrow her from guild mates in our weekly guild raids and even with only a +13 rainbow 457 and the rest run of the mill +10 golds, shes averaging 320-355k dmg per raid boss, vs my NJ who is absolutely min/maxed and +13 all gears is only averaging 170-190k dmg. Thats just insane, really sucks I missed her event.... There is video on here with a Musashi doing 600k against Renown Meta lol.

Pulled 3 copies of Musashi in 40 cubes. Guess it is to make up for my 400 cubes just to get Shinano

Wakatsuki doesn't really have better stats than Suzutsuki. Suzutsuki has 30 more luck (3% evasion/hit rate & 0.6% crit rate) I'd take that over the lower single digit stat differences. I still can't believe people think luck is an irrelevant stat.

She (Musashi) has weird timing .but the most damage. Good against heavy armor. and unfortunately, she is too similar to my sister (Friedrich). PD: I got her on the 35 pull and 2 more copies after I got the elite u_u.

Maybe in terms of stats, but Musashi needs an IJN gun and her own gun is WAAY too slow to work on her. So they are mostly equal. So unless an excellent IJN gun comes out in the future, she won't powercreep NJ

In the case of Shropshire's Retrofit, although it isn't too amazing, it basically makes her a better version of non-Retrofit London for non-plane centric chapters (she's London's sister ship, hence the similar appearance post-retrofit): -Higher stats in everything apart from AA (and with Retrofit, the other stats that are higher on London are her HP, EVA and ACC, aside from AA efficiency). Her efficiencies in her Main Gun and Torpedo / DD Gun are ALSO higher than London's even post-Retrofit. -London without the Retrofit only has the skill they added to Shropshire Retrofit and the skill Shropshire already has is effectively a weaker version of her Retrofit skill anyway (Double Gun, where you have a chance of firing another shot... As opposed to London's Sharpshooter of Londinium which has a slightly higher chance of inflicting double damage and adds accuracy stat by 1.5% and stacks up to 8 times when they sink an enemy).

I mean sure if youre just starting out or have limited options. London doesnt even have a MGM+1 iirc. Minneapolis, one tier up, outpaces her in damage by a mile, let alone most CA's in the top 2 tiers. while also bringing more to the fight and fleet.

@@junkiexl86 lol wut? Tier 4? She’s tier 2. And outside of Roon U, and Drake She’s better pure DPS then all the other DPS CA’s above her. Sure she doesn’t have a MG+1 but her DD gun secondary makes her damage amazing. It’s much better then a simple MG+1. DD guns are the best dps guns in the game. Their range lets them hit 360 degrees so she’s always going to be putting damage on targets and isn’t limited by most CA’s main gun narrow gun range combine that with her sharpshooter skillet which gives her fantastic accuracy she does great vs bosses. London starts great and stays great thanks to why she is great. She constantly out damages other CA’s because of her reliable time on damage. The only reason Minnie is a tier ahead of her is because she can tank early and mid content. I’ve had London for nearly 3 years and she continues to produce big numbers. If yours lacks gear her right and understand how to use her.

@@jolunrohthocoudis526 Tier 4 technically. EX and Tier 0 are not numerical, so I look at them as Tier 1 and 2 respectively in this case. I do alot of testing and spreadsheeting results in Azur Lane and I can tell you 100% London Retro's DPS is nowhere near the DPS of CA's in the higher tiers. Im not just blowing smoke. I have no axe to grind with London, just stating facts here from wheres shes positioned on the Comm Tier list (Yes listed 'tier 2', but its really 4) in addition to many hours of DPS testing on static repeatable fights.

I dunno what to say anymore... first I get Shinano in the FIRST!! draw (not 10 pull but the actual first draw of the pull) and now Musashi too... it took me 5 more 10 pulls to get Sakawa finally. What did I do that Yostar favours me that much?! I have more than enough cubes for a pity roll, give the others a damn good chance too!

Not necessarily. Musashi has worse accuracy & luck meaning she crits a lot less, and is locked to a bad gun. She doesn’t have spread reduction, and doesn’t buff other ships to the same degree,

I just got her in 52 pulls. I went a bit insane on this one and kept pulling until I hit that sweet 05:15:00 build timer. Instead of a 10 pull a day which I normally do during these kinds of events. Especially if they are a UR event

Yes, it's an or. If you want her flagship, she needs air parity or stronger.

That second skill makes her really interesting as an off tank. Let’s you have someone a bit squishy in flag, or if you’re levelling someone up. Also, wait, does that second skill not activate at all if she is in Flag? So she is forced to be off flag, so poor UVH I guess? She be better for Boss fleet though, so leave UvH in mob, I guess. Kinda funny bout the gun, was talking to a friend and said “I bet it’s like a 30 second reload but big damage” and he was like they wouldn’t make the gun that unwieldy. Didn’t know about it being leaked last year though! Called it on her having an IJN requirement as well, make her on theme for using the 18” guns. Makes me curious Mumu is being forced as off flag so when big sister comes along she takes flag with both of her sisters supporting.

24:40 I mean, the slow reload is historic, those 18" shells took a lot to just hoist up to the guns. The Yamato class could only reload twice a minute AT BEST. The shell weight was one of the main reasons the US went with the 16" shells over the 18" shells.

to be honest the yamato guns had a special reload gear that allowed them to fair pretty much the same number of shells as the lower caliber guns. it was the turning gear that was slow as fck

Yamato's actually had a sophisticated Autoloader and they even burned the blueprints about it before the end of the war, so we may never know the real capabilities of the said guns reload time, i remember theres a vid in KZread about its Autoloader i just dont know if its an accurate representation

Relevant since IRL IJN was AA weak. Put the Sakura 127mm on her, but in the end she's not as good a flak boat as any Eagle BB.

@@silverhost9782 Dracheneifel has stated the flaws of overreliance on the 25mm cannon well enough that I won't bother here. I should have said any Eagle fast BB; the Standards are good enough with "moar dakka" quad Bofors & twin 127mm turrets equipped, but not in the same class as "eat your air strike" North Carolina and South Dakota.

@@observationsfromthebunker9639 Funny thing is you remind me of the other two online ww2 boat games where the AA goes completely against historical accuracy; The first one is obviously World of Warships where the game mechanics was so skewed that CV will always get a strike through no matter if you're in a late war USN ships that should have enough dakka to swat them out before they even start any attack run, or IJN battleships with poor AA. Then there's the old Navyfield, where medium and low caliber AA like Bofors are AI controlled but completely useless against mid-end game planes like Corsair or Reppu which has immunity against these AA because the game was designed to force the player to learn how to manually shoot those planes down with flaks while still maneuvering and exchanging fires with enemy ships. So the effectiveness of AA in Navyfield depends entirely on the player's ability to aim them and the CV players' dodging skill, not on what nation they're playing. USN AA can be absolute garbage show if the player behind the scope has Star Wars Stormtrooper aiming skill, while IJN flak can regularly blap an entire squadron out of the sky if the player is a crack shot that consistently nailed the enemy planes with flak in their faces.

Comparing her with New Jersey, I honestly think the two are too close in terms of stats/skills for Musashi to be considered as powercreeping NJ. On one hand, Musashi has overwhelming firepower but has a slower reload, while on the other NJ is faster firing while having an almost just as good firepower stat. Honestly seems to me that both are better in different situations, depending on who your fighting. (Not to mention that NJ is just straight up better for PvP)

When talking about the augmented modules could you show a image og the ship up on the screen. I wouldn't call myself new to the game but I don't remember all the ships by name. I think a image will help a lot of people remember what ship that augmented goes on

This event is so damn loaded and its awesome bc for any new player they can slot any of these elites and ofc Musashi and be practically good for the game for a while (until later stages where you need to fleets) for beginning and late game! Good luck to anyone with less then 400 cubes, remember even if you don't got it you can grind enough cubes to make 400 if your at the 300 cubes area. But if not may the rolls be in your favor!

Yes this event is GREAT for new/returning players. Literally the whole banner is decently usable for modern content. It's a quick way to catch you up close to meta if you missed other events.

Hilariously, the BBs that benefit the most from the Yamato gun are Rainbow BBs, but not Sushi herself. NJ has enough reload along with the Rainbow Plotting Room to fire around when CVs start launching and after a Helena Radar Scan. lmao

Too bad nickasso (sp) retired his oathed Shropshire.

You really overlooked how good Shropshire retrofit was. Vanguard command is one of the best general boosts in the game. Only Leipzig is better. On top of that She got London’s special ability of being able to Use a DD gun in the torp slot which generated an absolute massive amount of damage. For any new player Shropshire will carry you damage wise the same way Portland will carry you tank wise. She probably went from tier n to mid tier 3 and that’s a big jump

Yes that CL gun vs DD gun can be nice (although the new PR5 DD gun helps mitigate that difference)

If I had to pick one, I would say that Musashi is a bit better than NJ and UvH. Her shelling damage is insane, her barrage even more so. She basically needs the Izumo gun because of the slow reload of the Yamato gun, which is a bit of a downer, but I highly expect her to outperform NJ and UvH nontheless. But it's only by a slight margin, the others have advantages, so I wouldn't call it a powercreep. Love the design, especially her taunt mechanic while being an absolute godlike tank.

@@AzurLaneMeta I never felt like you had to mirror so many of the same ships in order to have an easy time with past metas. You're basically going to have a bad time if you're not using NJ and Vinetto just added more buffs and preload that you had to keep up with. I definitely over exaggerate a bit, but I miss seeing variation in fleets. Used to be fun changing my fleet around to counter Warspite, Hiryuu, Enty, full BB, full CV fleets.
