Actually though, that's just wrong. Probably just an error on Yostar's part... Or maybe a spoiler a upcoming retrofit. But, that skin is going to be an SSR for Yostar's revenue line.

How anyone on the dev team looked at a list of HMS ships who could use a retrofit and saw Shropshire before Queen Elizabeth is a mystery to me. It's doubly stupid because if you want a Rare Heavy Cruiser with a retrofit as a beginner, the game throws Portland right in your face. /rant over Aside from all of that, fingers crossed for Musashi (my cubes aren't looking so well) and good lord the Racing Skins are finally here, been waiting for Shinano's.

I highly doubt she was inspired by sasukes susanoo. Almost everyone in the game who uses electro wears purple or have something purple on cuz Genshin uses purple as a color scheme for that element. Plus, lightning can be purple in nature, depending on the atmospheric condition. But, if Genshin was really inspired by someone, that should have been kakashi’s Lightning Style Violet Bolt, Raiton Purple Lightning

Susanoo (God of Strom) characters use purple scheme probably because purple sky phenomenon which often precedes or follows a major typhoon or hurricane

Is Dishwasher the only artist or it was a team design for Musashi? I'll be surprised if it was just him, because it looks different to his usual art style.

I was just happy to learn he got the nod for her. It's not his original deviantArt design, but I'm still happy. He really kept up the Divine Trio motif of the Yamato-class sisters too. But being himself, he did make sure that Musashi had the "byon" and "mushi" effect.

they definitely catering to the more pervy peeps with that "stuck in the wall-esque" skin there.. AND.. ALM is correct.. DAMN CASH COW. It's like right now I'm still tempted to buy the emden skin.. DESPITE.. already having a good skin for her. I'm usually not one to buy two skins for the same ship yet unless it's REALLY good (or from a lucky box).

@@jesseallen3109 Yostar & Manju know how to keep the customer satisfied. It's okay to buy a second skin for Emden if she is your #1 waifu. I have multiple skins for a couple of my waifus. (What can I say, Enty & Prinz have some good ones.) If it gives you some more happiness while grinding, it's good!

I'm gonna buy at least 1 skin of each girl first than go and buy another one when I can. *notices several shipgirls with three skins* Retro and free event is an exception. *noticies NJ has three* wedding skin also an exception if it's really good. and i already pointed out that Lucky boxes are an exception.. I got a second Noshiro skin and only used it from Vanguard event til a week ago where I then returned her to her Majestic Blue dress skin. another reason why i think is because sadly you do not see their skins that often anyways.. so it becomes kinda worthless to buy too many skins. The new random secretary feature sounds great if it also uses a random skin to say.. remind a person they have that skin. but otherwise more than 1 skin is kind of a worthless thing. Heck I passed on a more ecchi Naganami skin (long waves of Happiness) because her current paid skin (long-awaited warmth) is sooo much more wholesome, cute, and adorable and is the main reason why i went and oathed her.

Musashi is the bona-fide JP Exodia. It has everything - Kimono, Catgirl (fox!), Demonic Katanas, Magatama, and a freaking Samurai Gundam that's also a Stand. They went all-out on this one, it just screams NIPPON ICHI!! I look forward to see how can Yamato top this.

Musashi is a many-tailed fox, like Shinano. But yes, they really loaded her with a lot of stuff. there is a way Yamato can totally leave her in the shade, but that will require a special skin and the permission of an anime studio.

We will see what here kit looks like from the data mine. I'm excited, but design-wise, she looks nice.

So excited for Vampire's augment module! I've said for years now that Vampire could be a really strong DD if they just gave her a solid retrofit, just boost her damage output a little, make her healing torps homing or something, so I'm excited to see what this module does for her. Sadly with how far the game has come now I don't know if this gold augment will do enough, but I'm glad she's getting some love. Illustrious too!

Yeah I'm excited too. The augment modsystem is a nice way to try make older ships more usable. I was literally thinking about the different factions and their older ships and which ones I would like to get a module. For HMS I was hoping hood or illustrious, so I'm happy 😊.

Ya I think they chose a good mix of older ships for the augment modules.

3 weeks seems the new anniversary standard. Who knows if we get more than 2 UR next year though, with them having to rerun more now. Was expecting to hear something, but last year was just "one more" and December gave us "four more -years- UR next year" so maybe they'll do that this year too. From the leaked tooltip (subject to change) IIRC you can randomnise the leftmost ship. Random skins is all or nothing though, set on the most left entry opposed to slotspecific for random ship. No idea why, doesn't make a lot of sense, might be technical issue with randomnisation stuff?

so i'm brand new to azur lane. I been super confused by what seems to be the intermingling of global and JP news. are the EN and JP servers on the same exact time table? Does this mean that most of the content in the JP anniversary live stream also pertains to the EN server?

First welcome to the game! Second, after a year of double speed catch the EN and JP servers are largely on the same schedule, at least for all new events. Some reruns, archives decisions, and the timing of anniversary rewards are separate. But for all new events we get the updates on Global the same day as Japan and China. The 3 majors are all succinct (this is not the case for Korea and Taiwan) at this time. So this means that when they (Japan) get this new Musashi event Thursday, so will we (Global). So for this reason, I follow pretty closely both JP and CN news as it generally announced first there (they have offices in Tokyo and Shanghai), but we get the same updates at the same time. Hopefully that answers your question.

Based on what I have read and heard, the new UR character with long purple hair and her accompanying event are the main things coming to Global. While everything else seems to be just jp for its anniversary.

Comeback System Renewal piqued my interest, i've been on that event for 3 consecutive times and neither progress reached more than 20 because the returned commander failed to do his job (either not doing it or simply stopped playing again) while the best rewards are between progress 20-30. Man I really hate dev gatewalling my rewards that relies upon other players actions.

Art sources are in the credits. And that's tough to say. Shinano and Juneau are definitely ones on my radar. Nagato and Chen Hai also have very nice skins. Also we will see if stream chat will let me get away without buying Kashino's skin.

Retros take up a lot of dev resources for no obvious financial gain. Since the game isn't really growing anymore, cutting down on retros is one thing they're doing to cut development costs

its funny to watch, there are retrofits, oath skins and the selection of who gets l2d, all get a straight pass from me. my hope was, that the new ships and skins might be autumn themed or get some pre halloween stuff. also its kinda lacking in new modes/expanding op-si in my opinion. kinda hoped for a mode that allows a larger fleet in special op-si modes or maybe a way to get salvage siren ships or reprogrammed siren ships... well guess the grind continues, saving gems for halloween to be dissapointed again :/ E: funny enough, i am most hyped for the random secretary option because that actually makes use of all the ships and skins i decided to buy/keep...

Challenge mode was such a useless feature, mostly because you never knew that there was a new season or whatever. I could have gotten all frames easily but I literally had no idea it reset most of the time. So I got like 4 frames only.

0:35 cracked me up so hard going from racing to just demonetization. Azur lane being azur lane as always Well, Musashi is here along with Shinano so I can only imagine Yamato is about 2 years away... The L2D for Sakawa looks pretty nice Neppy's skin looks great to me as well. Kashinos... is interesting to say the least. And oh my heavens Shinano's L2D. Juneau Retrofit? She looks great in the artwork and so does Shropshire. Though obviously one sees alot more usage than the other (oh yes, I too love sacrificing things at an altar). Curious on the items for Ayanami and Monty though I don't use them much anymore. Maybe the make a good difference who knows. My god Azur lane is expanding its influence. Sake and Onsen? Lmao doesn't look like Azur lane will be going away any time soon.

@@AzurLaneMeta I’m constantly out of oil and coins and sometimes out of augment parts when I want them. With how easily I go thru my oil I honestly want a feature where if I grind it I can get free oil as reward so I can grind more of wat I want. A feature where I manually control just 1 shipfu and I must fight on and defeat as many enemies as I can b4 my girl dies and get oil based on how many seconds I last and how many enemies I defeat. Maybe be like (0.5s)^2+10d, where s is the number of seconds lasted and d is the number of enemies defeated. So if I last 10s and defeat 2 enemies I’ll get 45 oil. But if I last 100s and defeat 20 enemies I’ll get 2,700 oil. And there’s a 24 hour cool down timer between attempts. And the enemies u face will depend on wat shipfu u choose to use. They will be intentionally stacked against u in a way that makes using a DD just as effective as a BB. Ur skills on manual and gear r wat get tested. This wud be soo damn cool and awesome of a feature so I can play around each day with 1 of my girls and get more oil to keep grinding.

Nah, by IJN standards the Yamato BBs were well protected. Musashi was targeted to the point of saturation.

@@AzurLaneMeta I went back in a Discord Chat I had with a friend of mine all the way back to january. Apparently I got Vanguard as one of 2 possibilties for HMS, the other being the CV HMS Audacious , Musashi on JP Anni, and I predicted Alaska instead of Kronshtadt, so only Hulltype checked out there. So the last thing I predicted was either an H class or O class in december apparently, but knowing that we got an O class ssr I.e Brünhilde and the KMS is pretty oversaturated on Events this year, the last UR for this year won't be KMS, never. So if it isn't Alaska, it's something I didn't predict.

I honestly don't see the similarity between AL's Musashi and GI's Raiden Shogun. It's clearly shows their designs are different from each other. The only things the same is both wield katanas and the lightning element. Raiden Shogun is inspired by Raijin god of thunder and lightning while Musashi is inspired by Susanoo god of the sea and storms.

It's likely that anime girls based off Susanoo are bound to have some similarities. But as someone who dropped GI a LONG time ago, the first thing that came to mind when I saw her was that she was an Electro user.

@@AzurLaneMetaWould you keep the META'S if they had their own specialised docks? Which.. would kind of make sense considering.... But that also means Yostar could though they kind of already did) make more money off of it by having it where you use say.. 100 gems to unlock 5 Meta docks. I say do it that way instead of 200 for 10 due to the slow drip of the meta releases. and that the paid pass drops 200 gems which is more than enough to house all the meta ships currently if one bought each one that was released so far.

That wasn't my first impression, but I can kind of see it now that you mention it.

I understand that all the gems reset, free gems and all is jp server exclusive but why rerun of all skins. we didn't get that in EN anniversary. I hope that all skin rerun occurs for EN as well.🥺🥺
