@@strmdominatr5887 she is pretty good for a new player, I was referring to her raw stats as being trash not the ship itself.

So, I think Royal Oak's +3 Spd on her first skill is a reference to how she underwent multiple retrofits to try and make her faster, as the R Class battleships were slower even then the Queen Elizabeths.

I'm pretty certain her second skill is also a historical reference - this time to her sinking in Scapa Flow during WW2. U-47 hit her with a couple torpedos during their first attack run, and only managed to sever the anchor chain. The torpedos were supposed to be aimed at Pegasus (who the Germans had misidentified as Repulse) but Royal Oak ended up taking the hits instead.

After playing around a bit, Scylla's AoA is actually really good, requiring only 6 Attacks with a DD gun has her practically spamming it with a Twin 114 mm Mark IV. Ive swapped her over to all FP Gear including the FP and she's been really impressive in my testing. I think if you were so inclined you could run a gun boat build out of her and get decent returns from it

yeah the Fairey Firefly not being as good as the Helldiver in the dive-bomber role in-game makes sense as the Firefly was multi-role aircraft and dive-bomber was not 1 of the roles it did after all, the Firefly existed between the era where the backseater helped find the carrier and where the backseater helps the pilot by managing the aircraft weapons

With Scylla I can finally have a Full Dido HMS Carrier buff line, Bellona / Sirius / Scylla, and I’m really excited. As for Royal Oak, funny enough I think she pairs well with QE and Unicorn. Run QE/RO/Unicorn for main and Jervis, Dido with book, and Janus as your vanguard, I think you’d be able to take anything this game had to offer. Dido’s buff + Book really helps her pull her weight, Unicorn healing would help with RO, and QE’s buff’s would really push RO and The vanguard into phenomenal stuff

So, I decided to mess around with this build a bit. I don't have Royal Oak yet, so I swapped her out for Warcorgi. Damage is slightly lower then I would really like, although that's partially due to meh gear and no leveled skills, but it's working well in the current event.

Some top tier art in this event. The girls ofc but also the art in the actual event scenes. Good stuff!

Hey with Oak would her 1st skill trigger her 2nd?

So the 1777 Squadron does have a weird power, the spread over their Bombs is much smaller at 33 area vs 42 of the regular gold 2000lb bomber. This means she’ll be a lot more accurate vs boss fights where is probably where she’ll be used for timing issues. I don’t think it’s the biggest deal but it’s definitely worth noting

Thanks for adding. It definitely is better than the original fairey firefly, but not worth running over the meta options or even the cheaper f2p versions.

The Retrofittable Hatsushimo is your close thing to a Sakura Bache. Make that two HMS Baches for there's the Bogan Vampire (Mk I)

Yorktown II was stressful trying to pull. Couldn't even get Northampton II. This time, I got 2 Implacable in the first 10 pulls and everyone by about 30 pulls. Every event needs to be like this.

So for Implacable's second skill, Musashi as flagship seems ideal, her load is slow enough that you have best chance at getting 9 stacks, and if you get a full 2s freeze it means she should land shots better for stupid damage

Just a question for pvp, how is the meta doing? Because we had so many new ships and I'd like to know if Italian American is still the go to, I just run NJ, Unicorn and Perseus, with Kronstadt, shima and Anchorage which is my opsi team since they are always geared.

RNGsus really blessed me this event, since I managed to get the UR on the 11th pull. Halleleujah for not having to waste all my cubes.

I was just thinking Implacable's crossfleet slow might be cool for OpSi until I remembered that my do everything fleet there has Unicorn Kai and Independence Kai.

Scylla can also be pronounced as Skilla too. At least that's the Greek way of saying it just like Charybdis is pronounced with the C being like a K.

Her name in katakana is just "Shila" so I think meta's pronunciation, while still bad, is closer to what's supposed to be than the Greek pronunciation. Or maybe the Japanese screwed it too, who knows.

@@KaoruMzk Never ever use the Japanese pronunciation for western names. They're usually so far off, it can be hard to even tell what the name was supposed to be.

i think that Implacable is more suited for Fighter rocket team with Indomitable and Illustrious (or muse) than IJN carrier setup

I know that her class is only based on Illustrious but I could have been cool if Indomitable buff worked on her also

Yeah I was kinda hoping the same, as Indomitable is a great cv and I use her alot. I think an AA fleet will be great with say indomitable, implacable and either illustrious or centaur. Think about all those double fighter slots and wyverns in the torp ones. The amount of interceptors launching and the crash dmg is gonna be fun.

14:15 TIL Musashi is a carrier(triple carrier fleet). Never change IJN.

Yes if you are running 2 different CV fleets, that could be true. However, light armor bossed usually get the BB treatment.

Implacable is for boss fleet and those other 2 and solid mob fleeters. So not ideal to group them together.

I do have some older fleet videos, but they revolve around PvP, since that is my favorite game mode. However some gears guide and on the to do list.

Implacable actually has higher efficiencies than yorktown 2. Implacable has 140% 130% 130% vs yorktown 2 120% 135% 135% and and yorktown having dive bombers locked to slot2 (arguably the worse plane type) I would say she has worse load out options.

I still think it's slightly better having +10% eff overall than +5% on the flex slot, but tbh it's not much of a big deal either way. I would still say it's better not being locked to dive bombers. Im really not impressed with diverbombers, their dps is kinda trash tbh (slow and wide spread) especially against bosses when compared to torp bombers. They also lack the utility fighters provide.

I'm so excited for the new anime of Azur lane. I don't know when is going to release so I'll be waiting.

Basically when a ship buffs the fleets that they are not in. For example in a regular world map you usually run 2 fleets. A "cross fleet" is a slang for a skill that affects the other fleet in this scenario and not the fleet the ship itself is in.

Always nice to see the new UR powercreeping the previous UR. /sarcasm. Edit: Also, for Charybdis, it's pronounced "Kah - Rib - Dis" not "Chur - bid - dis".

The slow is actually better than AVP's! AVP slows them for 2,5 then freezes them for 1,5 then they instantly return to normal speed while Implacable's slows them for 2 seconds, freezes them for 2 seconds, then they SLOWLY get their speed back over 2 seconds... So double the powercreep.

Yes AVP technically doesn't have a ramp back up to speed at the end.

Completely different roles, bruh. They have 0 overlap. Although you can use Implac to debuff in Yorktown II's light armor fleet.

Just like Vanguard, Implacable is mainly a support ship. So she doesn't really powercreep anyone. It just if you are used to bring 3 heavy hitter CV at once, let's say Shinano, Hakuryuu, and Yorktown II (for whatever reason), then one of them will need to give up their position for Implacable. Just like how people replaced FdG with Vanguard in the old full UR BB setup. But if you don't, then Implacable won't replace your Yorktown II. She will improve Yorktown II performance instead as slow and freeze is important to make sure your focused torpedos to hit your target. Personally, I will use Yorktown II, Enterprise, and Implacable for light armored boss, and Shinano, Hakuryuu, and Implacable for heavy armored boss.

Aquila= ah-quill-ah (Latin for eagle) Scylla= ssil-ah (Greek sea monster) Cesare= chey-zar-ah (no Caesar, most famous person with the first name Cesare, is Cesare Borgia who was the model for the current image of Jesus christ)

Fun fact. Depending who you ask, Scylla can be Sheila, Silah, or Skeela depending on if you are talking Greek English or Japanese. Given this is a Japanese VA doing a anime girl of a British warship named after a Greek sea monster, it gets kind of fuzzy. For example the in game introduction and Google translate pronounce is differently and neither is "ssil-ah". Pronunciations can sometime be complicated... And other times I just flat out suck at them.

Should have been a french event...until now HMS was pretty boring
