Technically they are ships. A ship is intended for long distance deep-water or oceangoing purposes while a boat is not.

I don't know why AL keeps the SS dailies only 2 a week, the class type that needs the most gear also has the most restrictive ways to get said gears.

Common SKK: Submarines are for end game only. No need to use them early due to oil effeciency. Me an intellectual: Imma use them always because they're lolis that wear swimsuits. Now please excuse me while I answer the person knocking on my door.

Well techincally they are ships, cause unlike true submarines, they are ships that can submerged(submersible) for a limited period of time. When I was young I always thought fully underwater WWII Uboat menace where accurate until I watch documentaries on WWII Submarines. Azur Lane submarines were a bit more accurate as they have to surface after a short period of time. The Usagi sama review of submarine are based on individual performance. I would recommend anyone who wants to play submarine can play the Uboats. The Woldpack skills is where Ubaot shines, they do a lot of overall damage vs specialized submarine that effective vs certain target. US Submarines are also very well build for W13 combat as the primary boss targets are carriers. The best strategy to grind submarine exp is to deploy submarine at the very end of each battle to avoid casualty and yield tons of exp at W10-W13, they can take some pot shots and end the battle without them surfacing.. Cost oil yes, but is way faster and free your dorm up to potential upcoming ships.

Love the vids! As a daily player that doesnt really know what I'm doing stat wise, these help dissect that daunting tier list. Like I know the ship is good but WHY. Would also love to see a gear breakdown if you havent already! (I dont remember if I checked already haha) Keep up the vids! They're appreciated!

Wow! What a nice comment. You perfectly explained the whole reason for why I wanted to do this in the first place! Seems like a lot of people are interested in a gear list, so that is definitely coming soon, along with hopefully a more CRISP sounding mic. 🤗

This is very useful as the other "wiki tier list", while it has explanations and reasons, lists ships that a lot of casuals cant get their hands on. The usagi sensei one, aka this one, has a lot of ships including many casuals can get their hands on, but with no explanation.

I-13 is unique cuz she's currently the only *submarine carrier* in Azur Lane.

I-19 and I-168 can be very good if you're using mag torps on them. Mag torps move slowly and these 2 have a skill that increases damage of torps in exchange for reducing their speed, basically turning their torps into install-type mines that are bound to hit something at some point during the battle. I'd also give an honorable mention to U-552, who has a unique gimmick where you can use her outside of your subs's hunting range once per sortie

Considering I've only got U-101 and U-81, would you recommend that I use either a T1 SR, or a T3 Iron Blood SS?

all im missing is u 101 to have all 3 iron blood bis ones o well till they re run her i guess i will be using Aqua or i-19 with them im still not sure witch performs better over the other as the 3rd slot

got u-101 in a random build in the special section and got the new kms submarine in the iron blood event, so I consider myself quite lucky

go back to the previous microphone or adjust some settings. btw, Do a giveaway on the new AL pillowcase and I will sub. LOL

Meh, knowing which are the better ones is nice, but I'm still going to use the Garlic Shark and the Choco Bunny. Because of, huh, reasons...

I only have tier 4 subs... I hate that I missed so many events, but I have them lvled up to 100 at least. I'm just hoping I snag U-81 eventually.

Also just wanna point out that Aqua hits like a truck if sortied with other three Hololive members, which isn't hard due to two of them (Sora & Fubuki) actually being good and the existence of the Hololive aux gear that change any ship into Hololive faction. I had this one experience where she stole MVP from both Enty and Hood who are both have higher levels than her lol.

Aqua is a freaking monster. Don't let that t1 tier fool you. Individually her damage is on par if not better than the t0 subs. IMO the only reason she isn't t0 is because she doesn't have synergy with other subs and is better played alone (A lot of times her burst is enough to win you the fight and the other 2 subs won't have much of a chance to do anything so you'll waste oil)

By different content I mean other anime gacha games like Arknights, BanG Dream, Love Live SIF, stuff like that. I play a lot of them and am wondering if anyone is interested in watching me make videos about them.

Oh nvm, by that I was talking about making other Azur Lane guides other than the tier list. It turns out that it didn't affect my upload schedule so you can just ignore that statement.

U-557 is my all time favorite, just because if shes the "flagship" and you show her on the map she falls asleep with sticky notes over her eyes with fake eyes drawn on. I laughed every time I saw it and I want her back (I did have her but my game got deleted and I had to start over)

Previous mic settings were better. You've got a little background distortion with these settings. Louder, yes, but low level feedback hiss is a bit annoying.

Playing since December so only I-58 (since free) and Bluegill (since also, free, kind of). And there's only one/two(?) others to get in a pool of "NAH" with the rest event. So hard to get subs for new players. So many times build the special pool just trying for a second sub. But nope. Here's hoping if AL goes more anti-sub focussed in the future they don't forget our subbies.

Calm down with 47's lone wolf. It's preety usefull when You put her on a sortie for... Let's call it safety net xD If for example, You're map clearing, and there are still mob nodes in 47's hunting range, she's gonna be of big help. Especialy when Your ammo runs dry. I do not encourage this kind of play for her, but if the content is not that hard, what's the harm?

I use I-13 and 2 wolf pack subs

So I basically have one T0 sub (U-47) and two T4 subs (Bluegill and I-58) in my sub fleet. *Well...*

My fleet is all T4 submarines :( and T2 I-19

Well...i have all of the T0 submarines U-101 the DD and Cruiser hunter U-47 the BB hunter U-81 the CV hunter Together, they are stronger

Why are you here? It seems like you already know everything and don't feel like discussing anything relevant, so what's the point? I'm taking my time to make videos so I can help people that want an explanation to why the tier list is the way it is. I don't really feel that my guide is useless, as a matter of fact, it actually seems like most of the people on this channel like my content, judging by how I just grew from 18 subscribers to 250+ in 4 days. Your negativity doesn't contribute anything.

Personally, I feel the T0 category is untouchable this time around, since the German Wolfpack is just way too insane with the buffs they give each other. Minato Aqua is super good but when you think about replacing anyone out of the tier 0 subs, lowering the Wolfpack buff, it makes the whole fleet much worse.
