I love how when you actually watch him play it acoustically you realise just how great a guitarist he is and how the chords are variations to the obvious

Nice work, man. I did a vid of this song a few years back. You play it a bit different from me, but I like your interpretation. Now--just need someone to do the solo nice and slow... I can't seem to get the timing quite right... Keep playin'.

Very nice! You have a great right hand and I like the way you teach a song. I would love to see some more strong rhythm songs.

Hey- I'm seeing a few people on KZread playing it with these chords, but to me, the first chords of the verse are Am, G, F, Bm7-5, E7. Your way may be right but without a bass, my chords seem to sound more natural.

Sounds about right. Can i be another person to ask that you list the chords as I can't read the black text on the screen and some of them are unfamiliar shapes. thanks

Sounds great. You should have a go at the solo. I've made a sort of tutorial myself. I don't play it too good, but I think I've tabbed it out pretty accurately

One tip I would give is the keep an even meter with your hand. Watch the video and you can clearly see my right hand has a pretty steady up down motion, which makes it easier to pick out the chords you need to make the pattern. This songs strum is actually really easy once you get it down, if you slow it down it's not too far from standard r&b....with that suspended beat thing going on.

The web site isn't really updated much any more, but check out KillermontStreet.net. There's a guitar tabs/chords section there that covers all, or almost all, of Roddy's songs.

This is very good and your singing is good too but why did you put black text against your black shirt!?!? :O

I've been trying to work this out. Here's a good view of how Roddy does it in recent years -- kzread.info/dash/bejne/daiZ2bNvhpa9iZs.html
