Aziraphale's Gavotte Dance with Original Music, Behind-the-Scenes Take 2 - Good Omens

"How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?"
The answer is zero; or one, if the dance was a gavotte.
The background music in the series is a piano adaptation of the song "I Am a Courtier Grave and Serious" from Gilbert & Sullivan's opera "The Gondoliers".
From Neil Gaimans' blog:
"We are in a discreet gentleman’s club in Portland Place, in the 1880s, and somebody has invented a moving picture camera rather ahead of schedule."

Fun fact: if you listen to this and then the music from the scene right after it with the demons having their little disco thing in Hell, it's the same song, just in a different style!! I wish they'd kept this music for the show cause that's a lovely detail Edit: So it turns out I am Silly and that this music is actually "I Am A Courtier Grave And Serious" from Gilbert and Sullivan and that the disco thing in Hell was a 70s style adaptation of it

Fun Fact: When you dance the gavotte, the first step/move is to kiss your partner. SO. Aziraphale was probably learning it to teach Crowley, and it's why he was so sad when it eventually went out of style after the years passed. (When he probably couldn't work up the nerve to ask.) My heart is exploding-
