By far the best spot Azir has been in years. Honestly think he's an A tier mid laner right now, kinda scared that they are buffing him more with his win rate so high already since they like to balance around stats.

I've been loving the azir changes, I currently have around 72%wr with him, only playing him since the mini rework and only using HoB and ignite. Proccing the rune in lane deals so much damage it's not hard to get a lead and the new passive is really fun to use

I've been a bit apprehensive of playing Azir in ranked, but whenever I do, the bird performs. Only problem is that it feels too much like a coinflip, if the game is winnable after 25 minutes, you come online and dumpster people, but early and mid game still feel too weak imo, even with HoB and ignite

I'm just happy that koreans finally realised frozen heart azir is broken after 2 years of playing it

I was really skeptical at first but by the time you get the hang of it, his W buff is severely felt and I can always tell my team to wait out till I get my items to make the enemy hurt. U have that comfort in knowing you’ll be a massively team player at the mid to end and it puts u at ease and let’s u focus on farming without worrying too much around u

One thing I like about W max is that you have great waveclear, and better damage into melees than before. The problem is that Q cooldown is so long that matchups into ranged champs and Zed just become a shove fest, since trading is ineffective and on a 14s cooldown

I was so confused why people didn’t like the azir changes at first, I knew how good his dps was later and it felt pretty good when I tried it ( I never used poke runes but that’s because I didn’t know he was a poke champ early)

His DPS late game is definitely better now, at first people were pissed because he'd lost ~20% of his DPS because of the attack speed thing. Now he scales better, it's just it takes a tad too long to get there

i will miss the abillity to poke or the variety the champion had

azir is in a very good state now. ofc fixing his mana issues would make him perfect in the laning phase. right now players are trading damage for mana. by fixing his mana u could go flat out damage. and u know the rest of the story.

While I think Azir is more balanced overall and will be in a better spot for the future, the mana changes and attack speed changes heavily limit our item and rune choices. Hope the next patch brings some more buffs but I will miss our versatility in playstyle

Build variety is really the only thing I miss a lot. Not a fan of building too much attack speed, but right now it feels mandatory to build as much as possible. Runes like First Strike and Electrocute were always fun, but now it's either Lethal Tempo/Conq or HoB, and Lethal Tempo sucks early on and takes too long to scale

I liked it before, but now I feel like you need some bonus attack speed, and Lethal Tempo brings that without needing to build Zerk Greaves or Nashor's

Ayye I’ve waited for this since season 7

I still do Q max into some matchups. W gets enough levels to be good in teamfights. I have been debating about trying the bouncing leveling method again though (level Q and W back and forth each time you get a point).

Sometimes I put 3 points into W just for the wave clear, and max Q right after. Usually I'll have Lost Chapter by then, so mana won't be as much of a problem. Only issue is that if I'm ever maxing Q, it's because it's a ranged matchup, and I'll usually get HoB for those, so no double mana runes

47% winrate?! That is fucking good enought

The concern I have with this is that, because there is gonna be a chance he would be buffed later on, that it would make him OP and thus get harsher nerfs later.

@@minimoYT I wonder though, Azir seems interesting to pick up, but what makes him hard to play in general, even in a state where he’s well balanced. I don’t mean basic weaknesses that champs of various difficulty have such as weak early game, I mean as in what makes Azir have a hard skill floor in terms of both Macro and Micro to pick up?

I'm so happy they got rid of the poke playstyle, it was never in line with what Azir's fantasy and kit really sought out to do. Glory to Phreak

I like that the Comet/Aery playstyle isn't as good anymore, I just wish they keep the option of going either DPS or burst, because Riot will only take Hail of Blades away from my cold, dead hands

I will be sad about lack of rune diversity, but atk spd is too fun. lethal tempo was decent to me before, but that was because we maxed q first

for me he is in good spot and from what i saw he wasnt picked in pro so that means we are geting some buffs. all i want is for late be better since earlygame is way too bad for what we get late

They're looking into buffs for sure, coming at 13.9 or 13.10. The only problem I have with current Azir is that early on he's fine in lane, but then your mid game is ass still. Late game is fine, but if you compare his power curve to ASol's, Azir takes too long to come online, and when he does, it's too little too late. A better mid-game could save him from that
