Azerbaijan enters Nagorno-Karabakh district after peace deal
The Azeri army has entered Agdam, a district that has been under Armenian control for almost thirty years.
It is one of three areas Armenia has to hand back as part of a peace deal to end six weeks of fighting over the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The other two districts are to be returned by December 1.
While Azeris celebrate, Armenians are grieving the loss of land they have long claimed as their own.
Al Jazeera’s Hoda Abdel Hamid reports from from Lachin, Nagorno-Karabakh.

The land lies in what has been called "The Armenian Highlands" for thousands of years. Whos land they are getting back tell me... Azerbaijan is a region in northern Iran. When Sovjet came to power they divided up the small Republics and When it came to Baku, they Just thought "Lets call it Azerbaijan. Its right next to it in Iran".

Justice prevailed. After 28 years Azerbaijan managed to liberate occupied territory. 4 un resolution pointing out the occupants did nothing as there was no will to implement them by world powers. I wonder what would have been like if Azerbaijan had occupied Armenian territory. I guess world powers would have hurried from left and right and from every corner of the world to help Armenia.

@@21boxhead They are on the side of the Dollar. They sold missiles and F-6 spare-parts to Iran during Iran-Iraq war. Now they have sold military drones to Azerbaijan . They have now established diplomatic relations with many Muslim countries and Dollar is the agenda of the day. Armenia had the support of Russia .During the first war Azeris were defending themselves mainly with rifles while Armenians were armed to teeth by Russians. Even in this round of conflict they didn't have any lack of state of the art of Russian military equipment such as S 300 which is an excellent missile system against fighter jets and planes but not Drones. If Azerbaijan had occupied Armenian territory I would have morally supported Armenians . The aggressor is crystal- clear and 4 UN resolutions speak for itself. Azerbaijan had no way out but to resort to a liberation war.

I'm happy that Azerbaijan got back the land that was rightfully their's but at the same time I feel bad for the Armenian lady at the end of the video who won't be able to visit the graves of her husband and son and also for many other people like her on both sides ravaged by war. Khankendi is located on the Gargar River, at the eastern foot of the Caucasus range, in 385 kilometers’ distance from Baku. Adminstratively, Khankendi combines one city (Khankendi) and one settlement ( Karkijahan). The city of Khankendi was occupied by Armenian armed forces on December 28, 1991. Khankendi borders on Kalbajar, Tartar, Aghdere, Aghdam in the north, Shusha in the south, Khojavend in east, Lachin the west and in the centre it is surrounded by Khojali and Askeran regions. Khankendi differs from other Azerbaijan cities being relatively young. According to the archive records, the city was founded at the ends of the XVIII century as a resting place of the Karabakh khans. In order to create maximum condition for khans ‘activities, the city was settled at the foot of the mountain, in a 10- kilometers distance from Panahabad (now Shusha), the capital city of the Khanate. In the first years only khan’s family and relatives lived in the settlement, that’s why it was known as "Khanin kendi” (Khan’s village) among local people. After short time it was called Khankendi. However, Kankendi was founded for recreation purpose, from XX it started to develop as a new cultural and industrial centre of Azerbaijan.
Armenia won in the 90's over those territories and now in the 2020's Azerbaijan won these territories. May god bless these 2 peoples and countries. I hope peace prevails.

And after this that's it. 200 years ago there were Azeri khanates meanwhile Armenia wasn't even on the map. In 1918, after dissolution of the Transcaucasian Seim Armenians stayed with no land at all and only because of Fatali Khan Hoiski human act they got what it's called Armenia now. Just because you have some religious places somewhere doesn't make that territory yours.
