No matter how many times I watch the reactions of this song, whenever the other singers enter the stage I have chills.

I love that you can still hear Marcella over everyone else, since I worship that first Stream of Passion record.

One of the 'old guys' was Arjen Lucassen the tall slender guy with the long hair. He is the mastermind and creator of Ayreon. He writes all the songs, composes all of the music and parts for each instrument. And he writes all the lyrics and all vocal melodies. On top of that he is the one who hand picks and personally invites each and every one alle these musicians and singers to join his projects and to play specific roles that he invisions and writes for them on his albums.

That was Irene and Floor, Anneke, Marcella,Marko, Joost, Arjen, Hanzi ,etc

Of course, the giant next to Floor is Arjen, the Mastermind of the project Nice reaction !!

27 extraordinary amazing people on that stage (11 musicians and 16 singers). I always feel chills when I watch any of the performances of Eye of Ra, especially this one.

Last song of the concert….. crying again…

Damian's voice is so amazing. Love the way he still wears the Silver from the old Star One days, but has upgraded to suit. Also you can see from this that Ayreon performers do not let ego get in the way of great music. Floor is still happy to play the old backup singer role when required to replicate the sound with Irene.

Ayreon, the child of mastermind Arjen Lucassen. He combines so many talents. No ego's, no "I want to be better than the others" kind of stuff. No, only " Let's do this together and produce pure beauty. Together we are stronger!!!". This is what good music is all about. This is also showing the immense strong bonds in the metal scene. It is all about sharing and cooperation. It is an example for society!!!! The good vibes radiate from the podium.

Yes that was Floor and her sister Irene. Anette? No…are you thinking of Anneke? Not sure if you noticed Marko in that crowd, as well, but you can see/hear him in this show doing the song The Age of Shadows.

The whole ‘Universe’ concert is epic and definitely worth doing as a whole in a live.

Ayreon was not at Wacken. The few times there was an Ayreon live concert it has always been in The Netherlands, the home country of Dutch mastermind Arjen Luccassen. Because of the many musicians and singers from other bands that are invited by Arjen to play his music n Ayreon it is very difficlt to get them all together. Only a few times Arjen Lucassen has managed to make it happen.

Man, I love the Jansen sisters. Also, all the other talent on that stage is amazing! The harmonies are something else.

The guy with the hat was Rob Snijders. He is Anneke van Giersbergen's husband.

A fun song of Ayrean (but then called Star One) is Intergalactic Space Crusaders (with an 'old' guy on the bass) and one of the best and rawest female vocalists in Europe (from Belgium). Great reaction :)

Yes this is such great music! Arjen Anthony Lucassen is the mastermind behind all this. He is the super tall guy standing next to Floor. Beside Ayreon he also does other projects like Star One. I am very very sure you love all his music. It’s very rare that he does live concert because of the many artists he involves in his projects, It’s hard to get them all together at the same time. But when he does, he only does the concert in The Netherlands where he is from and is living. If you have any problem with videos from his music, like being blocked for copyrights. you can contact him ( via social media or email) and he will clear them for you. He really doesn’t mind. He actually watches a lot of reaction videos and even comments on them. I sent him an email the other day just thanking him for his music. Stay safe and healthy.🇳🇱🤘🫶🌹💐

Main singers in order of appearance: Damian Wilson - Singer of Headspace and (formerly) Threshold. At one point was approached by Iron Maiden to replace Bruce Dickinson. John Jaycee Cuijpers - Singer of tribute bands for Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy, Van Halen, etc. Floor Jansen - Lead singer of After Forever, ReVamp & now Nightwish. Irene Jansen - Younger sister of Floor, usually sings backup vocals for Ayreon shows. Anneke Van Giersbergen - Lead singer and songwriter for the Dutch band The Gathering and now VUUR. The rest of the singers at the end: Arjen Lucassen - Dutch singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician and record producer best known for his long-running progressive metal/rock opera project Ayreon. Edward Reekers - Dutch singer and voice actor. Most notable is his work as lead singer for Dutch progressive rock band Kayak. Hansi Kürsch - Lead singer of Blind Guardian. The male falsetto of Mike Mills in the chorus/finale... wow... did sing tenor in a choir years back. Since I was more of a barytone I had to use falsetto now and then.

You should do the whole Universe Live Concert in Tilburg, so everything what was before this beautiful ending, The concert is full of high tops in the Alpes. Arjen Lucasse of Ayreon is on the same musical level as Tuomas Holopainen from Nightwish. Enjoy yourselves.

This was the last song and everybody involved came on stage to do this together. I still highly recommend to do the setlist in sequence. It is amazing, beautiful and fun and you can skip the few songs you already reacted to.

Me too, amazing show, all songs fabulous.

First powerful start from Damian Wilson, then hard rock John Cuijpers plus double dose of Jansen sisters, and then Everybody 🤘🤩🤘. This song is a tribute to the "Stargate" movie 1994 (An interstellar teleportation device, found in Egypt, leads to a planet with humans resembling ancient Egyptians who worship the god Ra.). Huge Stargate fan here by the way 😁! And this is the last song of the show ... That ending always gets me 🥲. NWSU/Ayreonaut/Epican ✌🤓🤘.

Another lovely reaction. Love to hear the Jansen sister's together. For more checkout Who I Am from After Forever in 2007, Into the Black Hole from Star One live in 2003, or Wolf and Dog from Floor's solo concert in Nijmegen in 2020.

I always get goosebumps when they all join the stage. It's even more powerful when you know who they all are too.

So nice to see 4:22 SueSue pointing out Floor & her sister Irene (indeed!). Later on, same with Marko. It's like recognizing good friends or family members. Notice the soprano voice blasting away during the whole of the choir part in the grand finale? That's the unsung star of Ayreon, Marcela Bovio. Since you mentioned Wacken & Alice Cooper, there is a really cool musical film, a sort of "Woodstock" kind of thing called, "Wacken: Louder Than Hell" which covers 2013's Wacken festival from behind the scenes. From concertgoers rolling into the little town of Wacken, to the aftermath of the three day madness of the Mecca of Metal. While there's no mention of Nightwish (probably due to the band having its own concert film), Alice Cooper is featured among many others.

You can check Within Temptation also. Try Paradise feat Tarja or Somewhere feat Anneke van Giersbergen ( the Dutch godmother of symphonic metal ) she was Floors inspiration. You barley touch the surface of Dutch symphonic metal/prog. The guy standing besides Floor is Arjen Lucassen the brain behind this all.

Oh yes there are some older guys, The one with the cap is Peter Vink, who played base in a dutch group called Q65. Indeed, in the year 1965 so he is in his 70s now. He played in the Star One line up in 2003 (is on YT) where the Janses sisters did the lady chorus and the male vocalists were Damian Wilson, Robert Soeterboek John Jaycee Cijpers and Russell Allan. Arjen played guitars there and Ed Warby drums. On keys you will see a very young Joost van de Broek. In the show Peter plays base in the song Intergalactic Space Crusader. Another older guy is Edward Reekers, who was lead singer in the dutch group Kayak end 70s. He has the long grey hair and sings Dreamtime. In some live appearances we see Thijs van Leer playing flute. Thijs played in the legendary dutch group Focus. Het was not in the Eye of Ra. Btw, this song is a Finale after a live show that took 4 nights. Another older guy is Rob Snijders. He plays percussion on Comatose. Afaik he is Anneke's husband.

Last song of the first ever live concert. Arjen wrote this song after seeing the movie Stargate. There’s no Anette in this concert; you mean Anneke van Giersbergen. Irene, Floor’s sister, sings on the latest Star One (another project by Arjen Lucassen) album Revel in time.

This is from Arjen's Star One project album but was included as the last song from the live DVD 'Ayreon Universe - The best of Ayreon Live'. The song is Arjen's interpretation of the Kurt Russell/James Spader movie 'Stargate' and the reference about finding the seventh sign that they needed to return to Earth.

As I said a few vids ago, I thought you'd have your mind blown by this one. It's disgusting to see so much talent on one stage.,, and that's not a complaint.

One of the singers in this was hansi kurush from the band blind guardian a german band if you want to see one of the best live performances with crpwd participation add to the list the bard song and vahalla from wacken you will npt be disappointed i promise keep uo the great work chris from uk

Twenty years ago, his band, Blind Guardian, has written an acoustic song that informally became the international anthem of Metal. Every metal head knows it and most can sing along with it.
