I adore Gabor!

I have reached a pivotal pount in my life, continue with the slow suicide I've been descending into, or break free from the bondage of drug addiction and get to the root of need to self medicate, repeated childhood trauma from foster homes, to finally my father whom was acting As both parents, 2 different personalities. How F'd up that was then, and how much it's affected me and my life choices. Thanks again Dr. Gabor. 👤

thank-you, glad I gave this a watch. Gabor only just came up on my radar this past week. Helping me understand my PTSD a little more, is already much more than I did last week. Coincidentally my tablet is resting on one of Gabor's books mentioned in this interview. "When the body says no" if that's not a little signal to read it I don't know what is, just picked it up today! Thanks again

Rachel Heavens Gabor did not say everything about Ahyawaska. I was very ill from it and my Freind a health guru and a picture of health died doing Ahyawaska (he did many times but the last time killed him). he was not the only one who lost his life. to Ahyawaska google it. in addition a shaman in Peru told me to his view western People are addicted to Ahyawaska in the indigenous culture only a shaman takes Ahyawaska. it calls the vine of death for a reason.

MA AD In Colombia and Brazil, 10o00’s of normal people drink ayahuasca every day in many different traditions and communities. Aya does not kill, other things WHEN drinking aya may do that. It’s called the wine of death because you can die to your past and thus be reborn. Please educate yourself

MA AD I think Gabor also said Ayahuasca did not any thing to him, and to do Ayahuasca a person need to be prepared and not do it as a recreational.. he mention clear

Jacob Jorgenson exactly Ayahuasca is strong because it make you see your fears. I am not ready for Ayahuasca yet.. but I will do it because I ha a good friend who is in this for a long time and she talked to me of her positive expierence

thanku very helpful! as i was going thru a very codependent relationship i got lost and went to seek help went to therapy and got medication ...things escalated and got worse to the point meds no longer helped it wasn't until i stopped medications that I was able to see what was happening to me ...the meds were a way of avaoiding the reality of the type of relationship i was in...i am now seeking a retreat ...thanku so much for this video 🙏🌟

Gabor mate interviews, Gabor mate. That's what I want to dive into. So many interviews rehashing the same stuff.

You guys are amazing 💖💕

i love him and he is amazing person. when it comes to ceremonies and natural drugs, i have a lot of questions. there are a lot of frauds and people are not nice really and they make business trough these sources. I never met anyone whom i thought that they were nice.

I think Gabor is amazing and a breath of fresh air. But I wish his umbrella for trauma would extend to what happens to us as adults. His example of being separated from his mother during the war, to save his life, implies horrendous trauma for his mother. War and horrible accidents are obvious examples. Also, there are psychopaths and malignant narracists that are incredibly good at manipulating people, many who are adults but the result is tremendous trauma. Hitler was one of those people who traumatized his family, many of who were full on adults. Not to negate childhood trauma, but it's not everything.

I strongly want to disagree with Mr. Maté about "not being in the moment" when we encounter rejection and hardship with somebody. Blaming it on the past it's just a way to tell somebody, well you have to work on yourself, it's not your partner letting you down or being hard on you, it's because of the past. Yours or theirs. This is simply so true as if I saw the sun shine yesterday, I will definitely see it shine today and tomorrow. I want to make it very clear for everybody who was hurt in their relationships and start to doubt their feelings and capacity to be in the moment. The truth is, if you feel hurt by your partner, it is not your past that made them hurt you. It is not your fault of any kind. It's simply a person letting you down or hurting you. You are more in the moment as anyone could be, because there is both pain and joy at all moments of life. Your mind is not sick or needs treatment if someone treats you like jerk. It simply shows you how they act and what they feel for you. Asking or expecting for the rejected ones to have compasion with those hurting them is like demanding them to turn the second cheek to be slapped on.

@@JaysonGaddis Jayson, use your ears. He says that all problems we encounter in adult relationships are caused by childhood trauma. You asked about substance abuse and early trauma and he extended to "all problems in relationships". This is offending the ones who reach out to their partners and have to face coldness, lack of care or abuse. Personal responsability means there is a duty of acting and thinking according to your intention, would you say it is a fault towards yourself? For me fault means duty. What do you think?

If you got children, you have to see that they get food and care and love, and if their father is attacking you, and you do the same to him, you tear apart all of their trust and confidence.
