Ayahuasca icaros - Shipibo medicine songs for healing

Recorded with permission in the Peruvian Amazon at the Ayahuasca Foundation, October 2015.
This is raw, unedited audio from a live ayahuasca ceremony led by Don Enrique Lopez. I feel it's important to maintain the integrity of the recording therefore the purging sounds have not been edited out. The Shipibo refer to purging as "getting well;" it's an integral part of the healing process.

Im from the peruvian amazon, and this brings tears to my eyes... i remember my great grandma singing in quechua or sometimes shipibo, like this, she was from Lamas. I haven't tried Ayahuasca yet.. i left the jungle before i did it. My elders have tried, including my mother. I will try some day soon. Although im so far, this brings me as close as i will get.. for now.

If you have never heard this before, it sounds crazy and scary. But when you are actually in ceremony in the jungle, it sounds absolutely magical. Activating the spirit molecule the way it does is nothing short of a miracle that if the whole world could experience, there would be far less strife in it.

People who are experiencing this music, may want to freestyle your own song. Still yourself and when you're ready just start singing whatever comes out. It doesn't have to sound intelligible. Its finding your rhythm and feeling the expressions made by the sounds your voice enjoying the internal and external qualities originating from the self which has always been integral and essential for life itself. Lots of fun 🙊🙈🙉♾💞⚡🕉😇🤫💝 #savethesoil 🚫🕰🥳🎁
