I've tried to resist grabbing the Axxess for weeks. Figured that I already had an Oddity 3, so what could this add? Played around with the demo for a few days, and let it lapse. Congratulated myself on resisting. Then I saw this preset pack (the fourth of four!) drop today. OK, one last listen. Fatal mistake: Ramon Kerstens's glorious "Horn of the Aesir" dropped me in to surf a massive wave of memories of Zoviet France cassettes all the way to the checkout line. And I have no regrets. As the patches here amply demonstrate, the surface simplicity of the Axxess hides a huge range of hidden depths. The synth is well[-priced, feature-laden, and a lot of fun. Now I just need to find time for a deep dive into the possibilities afforded by the XLFO and XADSR on this thing. Seems like there's never enough time....
