Oh wow, an even faster way to cheese boss number 3. I'd never find that on my own i'll readily admit. I love the speedrunning community.

I start this game and try to see the correct way but Its imposible to try to follow you.. I spend 15 hours and I not finish it yet.. This is why Im here.. You are amazing!

Darn, watching all these speedruns, i should have damage boosted against the majority of the bosses.

How in hell would anyone ever find some of these?

That's very interesting. I didn't see you go into either of the two hidden "garbage" areas that I found with items in them. There was one in Ukkin-Na and one in Absu. Both were in right side walls. Had to dig through the wall and I ended up in a weird glitched world. Not sure if that is random or if there are others like it. Maybe that means you can get more than 100% for the items as well as for Map exploration.

Never mind, those are the "secret worlds". They don't count for the percentage completion. It's all good.

Apparently speedrun mode streamlines the more randomized events to minimize distractions. So, no secret corridors.

Given that the current best any% is only 36 mins, I'm pretty astonished that 100% can be done in only 42 more. Must have been some serious route optimizing. What in the world is going on around 1:08:10? By far the weirdest glitch that I've seen for AV

+Holly Cloutier It's a weird one. If you take the drone a few rooms away and come back, then those tiles respawn on top of your character. The game handles this by pushing you up and out of the way until you hit solid ground, which in this case is 6 or 7 screens straight up. Camera doesn't snap to you until you walk through a door.

I'd also love to see Axiom Verge be made into a 2 player game!!..... It'd be extremely rare to see a new 2 player game in action for once!!.....

so....whats the secret glitchy zones for if they apparently dont count to 100%? theres definitely upgrades in them and Elsenova makes a big deal about not going in there.

There is a category 100% items and 100% map completion? Also secret worlds does not appear in the speedrun mode?

В ту версию игры, что я играю, есть тайминг между последующим пуском дрона после предыдущего. Т.е., сразу запускать и перемещаться к дрону, и так постоянно, нет такой функции... Иль я чего-то не знаю И еще - есть глитч-комнаты, на карте не отображаются - я и там предметы пособирал. В итоге - 99% собранных предметов. А ты в 100% вложился, не входя в эти комнаты.

considering he goes out of his way in the run to get journals, i'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume that 100% means everything, lore and all.

Скорпион - самый бестолковый босс, оказывается. В одном спидране ему за 10 секунд натолкали в зад снарядов. В этом спидране вообще мимо него прошли! Я ему проигрываю уже просто из жалости((

While Metroid feels like a sci-fi explorer, this game almost feels like a sci-fi horror, but executed so well that you make up your own story as you go on. That said this is speedrun mode so maybe there are cutscenes and they were just cut for this mode and there is already a concrete story

Justin Walker there are cutscenes and dialogue speed run mode on the game cuts all of that out for you to help with time

DTK_TrIcKz I did check out a playthrough of the game so I’ve seen it has cutscenes, I’m just saying that even without them, the game stands on its own

oohh how i wish they made a cartridge version for the mega drive of this game. sega genesis could easily do these graphics and music in its own way!

There is a glitch with the drone teleport. Normally it has a cooldown so you cant spam it, but if you briefly use the glitch gun right when you teleport it eliminates the cooldown.

Usually you have to use the glitch gun on those things so they become platforms. And then just drill. every. wall.

Yea like the DPAD, its like I am gonna break it.

Wait wait wait. 21:16 no save, right? So the Eribu checkpoint is still in effect, right? 23:45 WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!? Somebody explain this to me! I thought there might have been no save animation so I just missed it, but you can see the animation at a later save! (Not accusing of cheating, I'm sure I missed something, I'd just like to know...)

OK, I was just watching a commentated GVirus any% run and a commentator mentioned that you get auto-saved to that checkpoint, probably to try to keep you from leaving Ukkin-Na via accidental death-warp during the hallucination sequence.

what are those codes are good for you type in?

I like the whole idea of homeage to the Metroid but seriously some enemies and even background sprites are just recolored which bullshit but a nice fucking game
