Axial Wraith cage mod and shock upgrade.

This is a quick mod video of my Axial Wraith. I chopped the back cage and added some lower links for support, then added some monster shocks. Not really pleased with the front set-up so stay tuned for a front shock update.

I got over 70 degrees from mine, it involved traxxas revo pushrods and bell cranks and venom creeper shocks. It's kinda unstable at high speed though ;). Awesome at crawling.

Can you just upgrade the back shocks and not the front ones. Or does it haft to be both.

Absolutely! There is really no need to change the shocks at all. The stock mounts are still there. I just chose to use a longer shock to get more travel out of the suspension. Looking back on this mod, I wouldn't recommend longer shocks due to the lack of stability in the rig. I noticed many more turn overs due to too much body flex on side hill driving. If anything I would go with the Axial 125mm at max. The cage mod is really just for looks. The shocks were just overkill.

Useless mod hnestly... Rear shocks - the same travel as stock... you just moved mount point higher which compensates bigger length of shocks... And now they a in danger to be broken when wraith hits ground with roof. Front shocks - no comments. very silly.

I'm not sure what math you are using to say that stock shocks have the same travel. Stock shocks are 72-103mm which is a difference of 31mm. The shocks I installed are 98-145mn which is a difference of 47mm. 31 is smaller than 47 so that means more travel. As far as saying that the rear shocks are in danger of being broken when the rig hits the roof, I didn't mount the shocks to the roof. The upper mounts are less likely to hit a rock than the lower mounts. So that comment is completely invalid. For your non-comment on the front shocks, did you watch the entire video? I'm pretty sure that I said it was a bad idea and that I was going to move them to another location. Thanks for attempting to be an expert on my build. You failed sir.
