I like that the build is going in a direction to make the 3d printed parts work. They look so good! It's going to be a heavy car in the end but pretty :)

I put my rear shocks in the same location. I took a different approach in the front though. You can leave the shocks in their stock location and move the body mount to its highest setting. This will give you the same look but at the same time keeping your center of gravity a little lower in the front. Love watching the build and the scale parts look awesome! Sometimes looks have to outweigh performance.

There is another vid out about this. If u keep the front shocks straight up and the rear slanted it helps u climb better. This way in this video is actually not as good as the stock setup for climbing.

Great detailed video, thank you! I’m just getting into RC and ordered the C10 version to use to learn to work on them before touching more expensive trucks. This was extremely helpful. I plan on switching tires to a slightly larger tire, and this mod will be required. Cheers.

Tried this and really didn't like it. It just made my Jeep more top heavy by being raised so far up. Unless you have wheel rubbing dont try this one, just trim your body. That's a better option.

Angle them more and bring it lower. More flex. Better side hilling. Angling the shock a little more will reduce spring resistance, allows for more travel/flex, and lowers the chassis lowering the center of gravity. IMO It one of the best free mods you make. I use the battery tab to mount the rear shock. The front will depend on the which scx. But equally low. Mine sits at roughly the lower 1/3 of the travel.

@@MiguelCortez It's a free experiment and mostly reversible. On the jeep the rear wheels will hit fenders unless you drill new hinge mount holes to raise the body in the rear.(or cut out the fenders wider). I did this and cut frame rail slots in the grill to allow the front body to sit at the lowest position on the mounting posts. You drag your bottom center more but it's way more stable. I didn't like the idea till I tried it..now I'm all about dropping everything as low as possible. However your upper accessories could make it want to tip side hilling with softer suspension unless you go with internal shocks with reversed springs that pull the body down.

Having a good scale look with all that stuff on the top of the body, means to loose some climbing and technical capabilities, so... You have to decide what are your rig is going to use for. And yes, relocate your shocks could help to climb better, but this position is too high if you wanna climb more than 45°. In the other hand, you have a very nice looking scale jeep, congrats!
