Great info! When I first saw the Ryft I got stoked, it looks like a beast in the woods! BTW, me and my buddy go to that park all the time. The "leaf garden" is a fun place to rip around. I've also broken many parts at the skatepark! 🤣

Yo dude, you nailed it. I did the same thing to mine as well as a trailing arm on an end over end cart wheel, that initially didn't seem that bad. Good news is Horizon is responding within 24 hours and I have replacement parts on the way already.

running 4S, been through 2 charges and no problems. Swapped Tires and wheels to Aluminum and Hyrax (Predator front, G8 rear), the extra wheel weight helps with the wheelie Monster. will be adding swaybar and dual shock rear trailing arm.

Got my 120mm Desert Lizard Shocks, going to droop the stock shocks and run the DL's in front of the stock shock for dual arrangement in rear, rear droop 30mm, front droop 20mm. Hoping this brings down the center of gravity and stabilizes the trailing arms, then I work on a Sway bar. I have a Bomber swaybar kit but I'm not sure it will work without getting creative.

Awesome video understand the problem son in law broke his the same and mine stripped the axle gear in the rear unit not enough shim still waiting on a response from horizon.

Mine broke within an hour, esc went bad, and front diff went out

Nice video i agree it is a amazing vehicle out of the box and pure excitement to drive that being said it will also break your heart with problems unfortunately my servo saver broke on the second battery just driving normal and i kept loosing bind had disable the avc to keep bind i haven't had the broken axle yet still love the rig but they should have quality controlled it better great video rant over lol

Arh.. sorry to see that you have also broken the front axle. I saw "RC Driver" has also managed to break his when landing from a flip. Guess it is a weak point of the Ryft. Hopefully aluminium front axle will be available soon. Good that Horizon Hobby is replacing the parts for you. I guess when running the rig on 4s in cold weather we just need to be extra careful.

Just got one myself but now there’s no torque when I’m going up hills running a 3s lipo.

I just purchased the KIT from Horizon...has stronger parts and the rear sway bar included.

I adapted a 13$ sway bar for a wraith that I got off amazon. Works great for counteracting the torque twist. Ps I put the super swampers on my wraith and broke a c hub in minutes

Yep. After a long wait I got mine. USD Super Stickies apparently provide to much traction. 10 minutes of fun and snapped the left rear axle housing after a 10 mph roll in and fill throttle rip on 3s. 50°F on pavement. SMH

Contact Horizon Hobby or you can purchase them for $9.99. If through Axial themselves contact them. We think Axial could be avoiding a recall, so definitely let them know.

Got mine and it came unbound in less than 10 minutes and won’t bind. I’m infuriated. Horizon is supposedly sending me a new radio/receiver.

I put SSD beef tubes in my axles.

I love the looks of this rock bouncer but without the swaybar I’m not dumping $500 into a vehicle that has that much torque twist, not to mention glass axles

Since the Reinforcement we applied we've had no issues, but we understand the fear into jumping in this direction.

The rear went out in mine, front is fine

Mine broke on 3s first run within 10 minutes!!

You you by the sway bar connect setup and then you put piano wire in there

My RYFT snapped the front axle after a "soft" roll on grass while running 3s - nothing to extreme and its broke in exactly the same place. There's bad "clogging" sounds from the drive assembly when accelerating. I've opened it up and put fresh oil in the diffs and re-greased everything which has helped a little but its still not right. Now experiencing problems where the transmitter / receiver keeps loosing its binding.

Broken axel housing. Luckily yes its ok. New parts in a couple days.

Unfortunately yes.

Axial should NEVER have touted it as a ‘4s’ capable machine. It is NOT! 2s, and 3s with a lot of care. And only after $500.00 in Vitavon alu parts it becomes sòmewhat more capable. A design AND marketing department failure.

P.S. don't drive it into stumps. probably not good for any RC.

Dude! 4S is too much! Harvey Designs said that 4S was too much. You should of taken it easy. Sorry about your broken axle. But I think you jumped the gun. I got mine and not running it at 4S and I'll start with 50% power learn how to drive it and use WD40 on all the plastics...Also the way you drove up that hill looked like you never drove an RC car before...It's going to be a long wait for parts...

Lol awe the glory of prospective. Unboxing vid was Saturday. Had the RC for a week previous to this video. The other vids show US running the RBX10 Ryft on 3s lipo. This video now 3 or 4 vids in was the first time 4s test. In the video I explain it's torque lift and control issues......hence needing a sway bar, hence the control going up the sand/dirt hill. In the video I also explain how I'm about to full board up the hill right before the sticker bushes. The upper part of the hill where I lost sight because again full board was more camera angle then actual line of site. Look, I understand the back seat prospective but at least do us the respect of actually watching our videos and listen to what we HAVE done and what we ARE going to do before you make false claims and promote negativity. We wish you the best and respect your opinions. Remember perspective is tricky.

@@thecollectorrc Look I just got the RBX10 yesterday and your video popped up. I'm not going to go look for any of your other videos I just saw the one...Harvey Designs said that 4S was way too much for it. And you just showed that it was. Also you kept driving out of sight!...I think we all can learn something from this. And for that I thank you.

Oh 👌. Lol, have a great day RCing. Just a tip if you have one Horizon Hobby has all the replacement parts available now. I'm getting 2 free replacements due to Axial avoiding a recall on the Ryft. Really should watch our videos, you'd get out of the "judging a book by its cover" mentality real quick 😉😁. Again have a great day RCing. Be careful the Ryft has been breaking all day yesterday with people running it for only 10 min of purchase.

He will learn fast!! At the moment the ryft isn’t fit for purpose. Axial don’t want to know at the moment but I think they will soon, there are so many people breaking these this weekend!!!!
