I have watched every video I could find on the Ryft including RC Drivers where he broke the front axel housing. However this is the best run video I have seen on the Ryft and its abilities. Thanks Josh now I want one so now it is on my list to buy and of course I want a orange one. Plus another that I can die red to see how it turns out.

There’s a gray cage as optional parts. Mite die better than a orange cage, or are you shooting for darker orange?

As long as the axles are strong enough to take the abuse I've gotta have one. Its so nice to see a completely new platform.

Kit form, lockers, and rear steer. Coupled with a sensored 3s capable system and this thing would be a blast.

Now this thing is growing on me. A high clearance IFS would be interesting on this too

Another great release from Axial! I don't particularly like that type of flat out driving but....I see parts for my 6th scale Willys Jeep and 6the scale buggy builds and I get super excited.

Looks like its in desperate need of a rear sway bar for sure. Pretty cool rig. Since the axles are wider i wanna use them for a large scale build. The new bright 1/6 TJ

Def got some torque twist but not enough that it will make uncontrollable and take away the fun of it, throw the sway bar on there and drop the ride height some and she be good to go! Can't wait for the LHS to call and say mine is in :-)

I would love to see your take on a comparison video of the bomber, capra, and this ryft. I am looking at purchasing one to replace my yeti and am not sure what direction i want to go. you always seem to give the best information and I would love to hear what you think.

Yeah it does pretty much. Though if I get one,hopefully at least a rear sway bar to tone down all that rock n rollin...

I'm no pro at making videos, mine are terrible. this one is good, but the official Ryft video... Amazing.

The official one is fantastic, filmed by the same guy who does Arrma videos. I have to film solo currently due to staying as isolated as possible to maintain a safe work environment for our shop. Huge compromise compared to how I would typically film.

Mostly what i noticed is the lower quality of the slow motion video, and matching the music to the video with the shakes and transitions. one is from a super expensive camera I'm sure, the other is a huge time investment. I contemplated not posting the original comment, because it sounded negative towards your video. That wasn't my intention. Um... I'm just going to stop before this hole gets too deep.

Does anyone know the FDR of this? whats the transmission spur & pinion teeth size ranges? I want to make a crawler version of this but cant seem to find all of this info, The Horizon Owners Manual is really bare-bones with no real info on gearing.

That rear arm was my only issue. Kept driving it though!

Great video man were you ruff on that thing...I baught a Redcat Wendigo and though it was a "Rock Racer" but did not live up to my expectations....additional $100.00 dollars should be worth it I spent that plus $200.00 more to get it in a shape to do half of what you were doing...

Awesome bash Josh, typical of those molded trailing arms to bend, that rig can climb & take a serious beating, I drive one handed too just don't have video equipment yet for the other hand

I want one to throw a cut crawler body on to pair with my comp truck 😍

Not sure what you did a better job showcasing the truck or the go pro lol they took a little abuse and kept recording great 😂

I realize this is a rock bouncer build and not a racer, but how does it compare to the Bomber? Obviously, style is different, but I'm talking more about drive, power, handling, etc.

Seems pretty durable!🤔 Definitely would be fun for hill climbing.

So what is your thought on the weird little servo saver? An upgraded servo seems like an obvious first change- how important is the saver on a design like this that'll be slamming into rocks?

Servo saver worked great, and I think it will help to keep servos that aren’t super expensive alive much longer.

I was trying to make for some what of exciting footage, so I basically just drove it fully pinned. You could make it more controllable under normal driving.

What's your opinion on the open diffs?

Nice filming! Really looks like a 1:1 bouncer bombing up the hills. Can't wait to get my ORANGE 😜 one. The trailing arm is an easy fix. Were you running 3s or 4s? Love your new Gladiator too.

I think everyone is wondering- ok, that looks fun as hell, but when is the kit version coming out? will other companies make one too and start a trend? I am tempted at times to buy an RTR, but I just don't need another RTR radio and maybe not great electronics. Although, this thing does seem to have a ton of power out of the box...

As predicted, the trailing arm failed and it needs a sway bar like its going out of style 🤣

I’m assuming it’s in high gear and the option will slow it down? I don’t see rear steer being too practical on that thing. It looks quick. Buy two for a two tone cages.

Not being able to bring someone with me to film is difficult with a car this fast. Being that we still have our shop to operate, I try to stay distanced. Not easy.

How many cameras were sacrificed in the making of this video Josh?

Rock Bouncers kill hills, yeah, but they can also crawl. Can this crawl? Will we have to wait for the 2 speed trans for that?

I haven’t seen many bouncers that do any good at technical crawling. I think this vehicle pretty accurately portrays a full-size bouncer.
