Axial Capra UTB18 Upgrades - Furitek Titanium Comp Chassis! Install, Crawling & More!!!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this video I review and install the new Bettle chassis kit from Furitek for the Axial Capra 1/18. This titanium and aluminum chassis kit replace the stock cage, relocating the electronics to the center of the body and lowering the center of gravity. It also provides numerous options for shock mounting, giving us far greater customization options. Check out the video to see the upgraded UTB18 in action!

    I just checked out your channel. You're doing good, sport. Take notes about camera angles and framing here from Adam. As well as other good guys like 2FM RC, The Shop Mini RC, etc. Some other suggestion, if I may: -Shoot in landscape so it fills the YT screen. -Practice and be mindful of moving the camera slower. It will keep things in focus better when you move slow. Pausing on the part you are talking about lets the viewer focus on seeing what you're talking about. Also, the jerky camera moves always make folk a bit sea-sick.... 🤢😁 . -Try and shoot using sunlight and/or several daylight light bulbs. This will make things 'pop' more, help the camera focus, and cut down on bad shadows. Three light sources are usually good. One just behind and higher up. And two on either side of your camera, about 45 deg. between the camera and the object, at level with the object or a bit higher. (This can very so just do a bunch of test videos just moving the lights around to get it looking good. Again, reference others videos you watch) -Widen out your shots. Wider lens or zoom out or move back further. Helps the shot feel less jittery and often looks clearer due to getting less pixelated/grainy. Also helps show size/scale/context better. -A tripod/stand for the camera would be good to keep shots rock solid. Buy a cheap one, build one or tape your cam to a floor lamp. Whatever is within budget. -Think about what you want to focus talking about in the video and write notes. Doesn't have to be word for word as that can make you sound like your reading. Just key words so you remember what you want to say. Write them in order you want to talk about them so you don't miss anything. Add points to remind yourself where you should pause to focus on the part or scene you want to highlight. And use that point to also take a couple good breaths and remind yourself to take your time. There's no rush. It's easier to shoot little segments and edit them into one video as well, if you have the knowledge to do editing. One long scene like you're doing is hard, but easier with notes to look at and pausing to breath! 😁 -Maybe ask your favourite tubers for pointers on how they shoot and produce their video via DM or Email. Folks are busy with life, so don't be disappointed if you don't get much. But hopefully they'll have some insight into what they've found works. Maybe they'll even send you some pic's of they're behind the scenes set-up or do a video about it on their channel! Best wishes for you Sonic! Wing Nut Bert *** Hope you don't mind Adam. If you want the long post removed, I'm happy to delete. 😁👍

    If you put some grease in the u-joints on your driveshafts that might take care of that creak. I had the same issue and it drove me nuts. Nice video, it's probably an unpopular opinion but I'm not a huge fan of this look for rigs. I'm not a huge scale person but I like it a bit better when they look like cars. Can't argue with the performance though. Nice job 👍

Then I realised that I see your videos regularly. LOL ha ha ha. I am so spoiled for quality and famished for choice!ha ha :D Great video. • @CapeCrawlers

    This is why I flip-flop back and forth, wondering whether it's better to just buy parts and build rather than spend money on an RTR that I'm just going to replace nearly everything on. Especially if I save money making my own chassis/frame rails, links, body, etc. Granted, having an RTR gets you something to play with and upgrading one bit at a time might be better for some budgets and definitely the way to go. But seems at the end of the day, you might only have an ESC and an RX/TX left of anything that came in a box RTR! LOL! Might make a good video to compare the cost math including wasted/non used original RTR parts, time dissembling/reassembling each time you get a single new part to add, extra cost of shipping when ordering a single or couple parts once a month or two versus buying all at once from a couple sources and saving an shipping one or two packages. Lots to consider for sure.

  • @CapeCrawlers

    @CapeCrawlers

    Жыл бұрын

    So true. I like the iterative process of upgrading a stock rig. It's fun to see incremental progress. But it is far more economical to do a scratch build. The benefit of overhauling an RTR is that you can rebuild a stock one from takeoff parts and sell it afterwards!
