Restoration of an Old Axe. See the satisfied outcome!
About Axe Metal
Found it stored in my late dad rack. Its comes with heavy rusty without handle and upper edge was chipped.
THE RESTORATION PROCESS
Its deal with a lot of grinding and filing process. There was a lot of cracks in the metal, so I decided to just minimize it due to lack of repair tools. After get the best result, I proceed with quenching process to strengthening it and more ductile.
Woodworking
I used light Borneon woods as handle. The design I refer from google and Id took example the most ergonomic design which suit with the application later.
