And he had had a job offer elsewhere meaning that if he wanted to take it - and allegedly he was desperate to take the job, better money - he either had to get himself sacked or pay compensation to ITV for breaking his contract. He got himself sacked, how very very convenient for him. ()

The only one of those 3 you mentioned who is a bully, a cruel and nasty person and a proven liar is Meghan. ITV made huge mistake when they let him go. That mistake they are paying for and they are not able to stop it. The staff of ITV is the one who suffer of that incompetent woman on the top of the organisation. I have no empathy for that TV station anymore. I've not watched anything since Piers left. TalkTV is obviously in trouble. No wonder, they have highbred many high profile presenters. One reason is that it really is just talking and too many people nowadays are not able to concentrate on that (especially younger generation). Piers is not their problem. He has interesting people to interview and on his best he is one of the top guys in the business.

Piers also bullied and abused Catherine joining in with the vile accusations against her when she was recovering from surgery. He will support - or vilify - whomever is most lucrative for him to attack, and he's been doing that for decades. Meghan is no different to him and just because she does it doesn't mean he doesn't, they BOTH do.

I watch box sets of old shows, movies, music, only tv for news and occasional sports or specials. Don’t have cable . TVs garbage. And now when you buy a tv you have to have a stupid pass word. I’m watching threes company ( formerly englands Man About the House) it is so funny. John Ritter genuis at physical comedy. This cheers me up.

I am really fed of celebrities being described as national treasures. A national treasure should be a beautiful landscape, a place of historic significance, artefacts of importance from our past. Not an actor or a singer or comedian or a presenter or someone famous for being famous. The only human being who, in my opinion, could ever have been described as a national treasure was the late Queen, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. I doubt any other member of the current Royal Family will ever achieve that status, well, certainly not in my lifetime.

GMB is openly pro-Labour & pro-Meghan, This Morning openly has to be seen as 'fair', and defends Meg when the subject of Meg + Haz is raised - and, let's face it - their best presenters were Ruth & Eamonn, and as for Lorraine, she may have been cleared in a court of law, but not in the court of public opinion, who view her as an overpaid tax dodger AND Meghan defender. The lesson seems to be that anyone who supports two traitors gets Markled!

I think you misunderstood Kate. She wasn’t “moaning” for herself, she was moaning on behalf of others who weren’t in her position to pay privately. I commend Kate’s pleas to Govt officials about this. She also brought huge awareness for people who suffer from Long Covid.

I disliked the way the weather guy got brought on, arguing with Piers, should have stuck to the weather instead of ganging up with Susanna Reid! People just bought the duos story hook, line & sinker without actually realising there was another side to this and motive. The lies were there, notable, straight away, obvious - wedding 3 days earlier - by the Archbishop - in a garden - no witnesses?! Stories differed between them. A baby wouldn't be protected unless he was a Prince?!? Even though they were as they were working Royals at the time! Stories, conversations that could not be proven. Money cut off. Security stripped etc. Anyone with a brain cell knew instantly watching it that those statements weren't right. It's the big salaries that need to be chopped or, the people replaced by those who do the job without demanding such a hefty fee! Absolutely nobody is worth that kind of money.

Ill never watch ITV again. Ive gone off them.

For the love of dogs was another show that they shoehorned the wrong presenter into. There were big red flags beforehand: too loud, never owned a dog never mind loved one but also said she was afraid of big dogs. ITV needs to rethink their total offering & appoint people on merit.

ITV should stop treating the great British public as fools, sits not necessarily so.

ITV forgot one very important thing. If you don't satisfy the audience, they'll move on. They don't need you. So, keep paying big bucks. When you go belly up, perhaps you'll figure out why.

Same in the USA - there are too many "talk shows". Who has time to watch them? And they all seem staffed by left wingers. In the morning I watch my local news and come here for my Neal Sean updates. That is what I recommend to all!

I suspect that viewers are down for Lorraine because she virtually said she wasn't sincere, she was an actress playing a part. So big loss of credibility there, plus she's now seen as a wealthy tax dodger. GMB foolishly got rid of Piers Morgan its biggest audience puller. As for This Morning it never recovered from the loss of Richard & Judy. Their daytime schedule has been in need of a shake up for years. It'll be very hard for them to get audiences back.

ITV is facing two problems. Lack of advertising revenue can be put down partly to squeezed budgets of advertisers, but only partly: viewer figures are low so firms won't pay what they have in the past because the "reach" isn't as good. Plummeting audience figures is their own fault: the big draw for GMB was Piers Morgan and allowing him to walk out was a huge mistake, made worse when it became known that the boss of ITV had acted on an email from Meghan to make his exit permanent. The other issue is that their news arm, ITN, has lost credibility with Tom Bradby's blatant pro-Sussex cheerleading. If the WFH and Stay-at-Home mums crowds aren't tuning in for GMB and This Morning, and those who want reliable news have been turned off ITN, what's left?
