Saying Vendetta manaburns is quite misleading, since mana burn also deals damage scaled with the mana burnt so it's extra potent against Medusa. Vendetta only remove 50% mana pool, which is still ~50% Medusa's health, though

lv 30 itemless Medusa has 428HP. RIP.

Buy strength treads and 2 bracers early, easy. By the time axe is level 18 you probably have other stat items. Her shield absorbs 98% damage now (70% before) and the multiplier is increased, it's also passive now so AM and breaks are the only counters.

Just build stat items as usual(Dragon Lance, Manta, Skadi etc) and she's completely fine. She's even more jacked now with that buffed mana shield.

What do you mean? Read Axe's skill description. If a target has below 250-450HP, the target is killed, unconditionally (even through Shallow Grave/False Promise/Borrowed time etc). Now Medusa has 420HP on lvl 30, go figure.

nah they (icefrog) just take away all medusa's strength value (it's literally 0) so if you play medusa buy strength or your max hp is so low even axe can chop you at full hp

you literally cant comeback with medusa even if she is designed to be late game hero... enemy just have to trilane in medusa lane.. and forcing ur team to trilane too to protect medusa.. you need to babysit medusa for 20 mins to at least make an impact on 40 mins game lol.. at least that is the situation on every crusader and archon games.. medusa will make an impact around 30-40 mins but thats not even sure cuz the first 20 mins is important for babysitting..

Average Right click players crying about a right click hero having no STR and getting executed by a culling blade.

If you are stupid enough to be countered by axe as medusa you deserve to lose. Treads (STR) alone can stop him from culling you with lvl 1 and 2 ults. Match id: 7116578656 Not once did he change the treads attribute to STR #HeraldProblems
