Ten Steps to AWS Disaster Recovery | Simplified and Visualized
AWS Disaster Recovery | RTO | RPO | Business Continuity Plan | Simplified and Visualized
In today's session we will discuss Disaster Recovery in AWS:
Disaster recovery is the process of preparing for and recovering from a disaster. An event that prevents a workload or system from fulfilling its business objectives in its primary deployed location is considered a disaster. This paper outlines the best practices for planning and testing disaster recovery for any workload deployed to AWS, and offers different approaches to mitigate risks and meet the Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) for that workload.

Excellent and well explained. Thanks a lot. I was new to AWS and I was also looking where exactly to configure the DR (RTO and RPO). Could you help me in that?

It depends on your application, and if it does need DR if you dont have such a huge user base spanning over multiple regions it may not be needed First step is multi az and then next is to have a setup in other region
