The last episode in the Rayong Province in the eastern region of Thailand, and this is probably the best one! NO CLICKBAIT, NO JOKE!
Khao Chamao National Park really amazed me. Despite being a relatively small national park, it has an absolutely amazing nature trail leading to the top of its waterfall! 🧗
1.6 kilometers doesn't sound like much, but when it's going fairly uphill and it's raining, making the stones slippery, it suddenly becomes really challenging! The funny part is that I'm hiking with proper footwear, while all the Thai locals do it barefoot and in slippers, so I guess it's not that difficult anyway 😅 One more fun fact and maybe you do spot it in the video: Some signs are measuring the trail to be: 1.6 kilometers, while others is measuring it to be 2.0 kilometers. I will say: I felt like it being 2.0 kilometers.
With 7 levels and 7 opportunities to jump into the waterfall, this national park has plenty to offer! I'm really happy that I decided to pay it a visit! 😍
The park is popular among the locals, and on this Thai holiday, it was the place where all the locals gathered and enjoyed the beautiful nature! 🏞️
Also, a big shoutout to the park rangers! At this park, I saw a ranger at every level, not only at the top or bottom. So, I felt really safe going on this trail.
If I ever swing by the Rayong province again and I'm looking for a nice trail, then I will definitely visit Khao Chamao National Park again! Even though I'm not an experienced "hiker," I will rate this place as intermediate.
As always, you have to pay a national park fee of 200 baht if you are a tourist and 40 baht if you are a Thai local 💰
