Awesome New 1/16 4WD RC Buggy! Caster Racing S16B (K12) Fully Hobby Grade RC Car!

Here's a new Buggy from Banggood. Castor Racing S16B. There is also a Brushless version, but not available yet.
Buy it here:
www.banggood.com/K12-116-2_4G...
More info here:
www.casterracing.com/index.php...
This may be a little more expensive than others in it's category, but it is very well built, and fully hobby grade. (spares support on www.casterracing.com)
So although the brushless is probably the better option, this thing is really nice to drive. Jumps well, nicely balanced, waterproof! I think this is a nice RC for racing on carpet or short grass or dirt.

Does anyone else start laughing when the slow motion sound of the rc motor revving: "WeeeeeEEEEEEEEWWWWEWWEWE". It just gets me laughing every time for some reason.

Yes, it does sound funny. I turn the volume down a bit as it can be quite annoying sometimes lol

Very well balanced buggy and this is actually splash proof unlike the 959b electronics "waterproof" electronics

feel free too try a 3s lipo in this, the hobbywing 1625 esc handles 3s lipo or 9 nimh cells. Also if the chassis can fit it, give it a try fitting in a 390 size motor, or perhaps the traxxas titan 380 18t motor & run 2s lipo. Also in terms of upgrades it has the ability too upgrade to metal drive train which is good for upgrading this too a brushless system.

I assumed this would be a " budget special " but it seems to be up to Caster Racing's high standards , design and handling wise . The price is not bad if the quality is anything like my 1/8 Truggy .

  • @TomleyRC

Yes, seems good. A few tweaks here and there. But overall the quality seems higher than most other stuff in its price range

Yes, seems to be nice and easy to drive. A little more speed and it would be perfect

  • @modelnutty6503

a little more speed, yes, but it's also lacking snappy acceleration (by my ear anyway). quick acceleration is what gets a car around a little track quicker, and often more important than top speed. might be room to go a 390 motor (8 mm longer) instead of a 380, then a few tooth worth of larger pinion (390 usually a bit lower RPM) to be more equal to WLtoys A959(a). if there's room a 390 motor can be under 10 bucks, some have fairly steep brush timing where a larger pinion wouldn't be needed.

  • @TomleyRC

    @TomleyRC

    4 жыл бұрын

I think the brushless version would be a lot better for that snappyness

Greate! thanks for your videos. Do you have the brushless version? I wonder if brushless version have metal ring gear (crown gear) in differential? The brushed version has plastic ring gear. I also see some videos about the brushed version includes extra black tail wing. Do you also have it?
