Awesome 🇰🇪 NAIROBI Streets | 🇰🇪 Kenyan Matatu Vibes
I had an awesome week in Nairobi, Kenya. It was such fun to compare Nairobi to and American city. I loved that Nairobi is so modern and rich with culture.
Can we just agree that the Matatu ride is unrivaled anywhere else? Stay until the end!
The Artcaffe depicted in this video is one of my favorite lunch/brunch places. It reminds me of fun cafes in Manhattan or Boston. The most notable difference is that it is significantly cheaper.
American in Kenya series continues.

The statue outside kicc is that of our founding father and first President Jomo Kenyatta. About the matatu, here’s the thing, The matatu was making its first maiden trip where it’s free to everyone and I mean everyone on the first day of plying the route to and from the city. It’s sort of like a culture to introduce the new ride on the route to make people aware of the new ride

I'm surprised that you are surprised about we find surprising 🤣🤣. But in all seriousness, I'm sure that you must be aware of the naratives regarding Africa that are told directly and indirectly back in the West. It is not an accident that there isn't the volume of U.S that one would expect to find in Africa. That's because there are outdated views of Kenya and Africa as a whole. Naturally lots of my vids are lighthearted because it allows my fellow Americans to consume the content but also recognize that if I can fall in love with Kenya that they can too. One of the major goals of this channel is to promote Kenya to the people I impact back in the U.S.
