@@V8chump also RCAWD (not rc4wd the scale truck guys) makes some parts for it.

I loved mine straight out of the box and then I got some upgrades for it , I fitted oil shocks , brass wheel weights inside and outside , low range gearbox with metal gears the plastic ones strip easily, slightly bent and stretched lower links to make high clearance links very easy to do and free , I also moved the steering servo to the axle , no more bump steering, and I did the headlight mod so I have high and low beam another very easy and free mod , to make it easier to work on I removed some body bolts and bolted the cab to the roll cage to make the whole body ridged, so now two body clips at the front hold the body on take them out and the body will lift up like an scx 24 gladiator , hinged at the rear of the chassis, I liked the stock wheels and tires they are very cheap to buy so I bought a few sets for future builds , now this truck is fantastic , it really is a go anywhere truck , keep the build videos coming and stay safe mate 🇬🇧

The little trucks have come along way indeed. As seen here it’s doing what some 1/10 can love it 👌🏼

Amazing little truck, Phil! Fantastic ride and review! 😃 I just remembered something... There's a sticky battery pad they sell for quadcopters... They stop being sticky when they get dirty, but water and a cloth solves it. You know? That is a great looking crawler with a lot of features. It performs extremely well. But, you have to love the Rock Van. It seems out of place, but performs well. This was a good choice to review.

Ah was that the dreaded clicking of plastic gears at 07:11 ? I stripped my gears out in a bind pretty quickly when shooting B-Roll for my review and nobody in the UK has the metal ears in stock! Doh! That said this little truck is amazing and with a few free to do mods I have made huge gains in performance. I would have a fleet of these little trucks (despite the plastic gears) they're brilliant! 🤩🙃Nice detail in the intro old chap, you are the OG!

Fun fact. This are based on Absima rigs. Also Wpl tyres will fit those rims as they are the same size with 1.2" diameter. Got some of those FTX tyres and they fit perfectly on Wpl rims.

My brother recently bought the absima version of this and the value for money with them is unbeatable, capability wise its on par with my FMS fj cruiser, only thing i would say is one of the gears has started clicking after not very much use which was disappointing but at least the parts are widely available

I'd say for upgrades the Scx24 is hard to beat. For performance right out of the box the fcx24 is probably your best option. At least within a reasonable price range.

Very capable little trucks, i like them although i prefer 1/10 scale. I do have an ftx outback 3 and a wpl c24. Springwoods looks like a great place to go. Is it private or open to the pubic?

So which is better, this or the FMS K5? I can only buy one of them right now......

nice thing is they all use the FMS portal axles and for like 70 euros you can make 'm 4x4x4 ( best if you have a controller that does mixed channels like the flysky nb3 or pro )... 😁

For a first timer, mostly crusing around the yard and some off road stuff, would you recommend the new K5? I love the look of the K10 but think that the 2 speed transmission is a great idea.

Go for it, get what you like. FMS makes good RC cars and are perfect for first timers.

I dig the little mini crawlers but wow after 1/10 they get really tedious to work on😢. Me no likey little screws.

I was looking at getting the lil fcx24 power wagon but not sure now seeing this cool lil mog

I have both. The FCX24 is the best because of its perfect low speed control. The Unitrak FTX (or Hobby Plus CR-18) suffers a lack of torque when getting slow. Annoying... Even if the FCX24 is a little more expensive, it's worth the price.😉

Excellent little RCs! I wish they had chosen more "lorry-like" wheels. I think we should forgive Phil for his little lapse with regard to the driver.

I think that’s the first rc truck or car where I wanted to buy from its looks, in that matt green it’s quality…..I got the Traxxas TRX-4 Bronco 2021 I was going to get the matching TRX-4M Bronco 2021 is it worth getting the unitrak or is it worth spending the extra on the Traxxas
