A detailed look at the just released updated CR-18P Evo and comparing it against the older version that was a massive hit last year. In this video, we cover all the upgrades and changes that have been made to the new version as well as upgrade the two vans with some cool upgrades from Hobby Plus. Good review. I have the v1 Scooby Van. It's really good straight out of the box. Those are nice upgrades. I hope they do a builders kit for this one

I use the center position on the transmission to rev the soundboard without moving. Bruumm bruummmmm and then 1st gear and crawl. 👍🤠👍

You get also much more for a budget price,you cant withstand! Ha ha! But i like my lightweight older Rock Van too! Waterproof? If you drill some holes in the reciever box too drain out the water and makeover waterproof the servos a bit "yes" !
They have original to EVO upgrade kits now in case anyone watching this is wondering.
This vs the FCX24 then🤔, I know this is slightly bigger in scale. The box design isn't the best, more optional parts available though which is great. Hopefully it doesn't replace the current one as not everyone wants the extra weight of a 2 speed for crawling though
Maybe put the power switch up, behind the bumper. No cutting and easy access?

Yep, that would be cool for sure.
Do you think it’s possible to get the EVO transmission and drop it into a V1 Rockvan? I like V1 but find it a bit too slow in stock form.

Not worth it, best to sell it on and get a v2. It will cost you the same or less plus it will be loads less effort.
Did u check the shocks for oil 1st?

Yes, as thats the first think I suspected was wrong. All shocks had some oil in them but you can't really get much in due to just how small the bore is. I topped them up but it didn't really improve things.
Does the new evo have the metal portal gears? Thanks .

Both have the metal gears in the portals,but the EVO only have metal gears in the gear box! A must have for rock crawling!
can anyone tell me what the name of the plug on the battery on these is? i'd like to get the cable to so i can charge the battery on my proper charger. tia

Soft with hard grill and bumpers
Put oil in shocks they don’t come filled
