Awesome Metal Vehicle Kit for Model Railroads
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video I will show you how I built an awesome metal vehicle kit for model railroads. I am building Showcase Miniatures N scale utility bucket truck as a focal point for my North Texas scene. This N scale bucket truck is a superb metal vehicle kit for model railroads.

Yes, go watch Boomer. He's awesome.
🎶I am the Lineman of the county. 🎵
Mixed thin , mixed thin. Thank you Boomer. It's a trip into another world. The truck came out
Ron that scene is going to be a great addition to your layout. The truck came out very nice.
Glad you mentioned Boomer. His attention to deal is first class. He walks the viewer through the process. As always you provide great content. Keep them coming.
Very cool Ron! You must be a very proud father. Looking forward to seeing the completed scene!
Nice video Ron. I think Boomer is single handedly revolutionizing the hobby. I saw several of his influences in this video. 😉
Great video Ron, good to see it and you.
A couple of things you might consider are a third figure, a groundman to provide support for the bucket crew, a hand line off the bucket or the pole to help get material from the ground to the work area. Also a pickup truck for additional supplies and a crew Forman.
I'm a big fan of MWRR. I'm a rookie and they always take the time to answer my questions. I'm in Blue Sprigns so I just shoot up 40 highway and pick my items the very next day after I order online!

that is really nice Ron. makes me think of WORK. lol adding such a model to a layout always make a scene come to life just because we all know what they are doing up there.

Hey, Sparky. Yeah, I'm so glad they produce this model kit. It is a great model, and there are somfew modern vehicles produced in N scale.
Looks great.
Steady Hands their Ron..looks Great
Nice you using tour Badger 105, its my go to brush also, nice job building the model, I'll think about building one myself, I use a toothpick to apply paint to fine detail..., and Modpog for glazing...... thanks....

My 105vis fairly new. My oldest brush is a Badger 120 syphon feed which I loved, but I really wanted the gravity feed. The 105 is a great tool. Love it so far.
Very nice work on the truck, it makes me want to get some of those kits in N scale for my layout. Thanks for the great "how to" video of yours. I have watched a lot of your videos and really enjoy learning different techniques from them. Have a great day my friend.
Incredible n scale is always a challenge you did a great job
They look great!
Love these Showcase Miniatures vehicles! I’ve got a few of these trucks ready to install in scenes on my layout
I'm right with you, there. I got a couple of the Walthers trucks and bought decals for PG&E because I have collected insulators for years, along with my railroad stuff.

I think I will print decals for this truck for the contractor my on works for, Kiowa Line Builders.
Nicely done
Looks great Ron!
Looks absolutely awesome Ron, the scene looks so realistic ! Nice job detailing and building the kit. Thanks for sharing all the tips !
I was looking at the same kit and the price was so good. Thanks Ron for the video. I may do the same thing on my layout. I am going to make a scene with Two or more trucks.

The Showcase Miniature Vehicles are beautiful models. I have a few on the back burner as well. You did an equally impressive job on the build and paint Ron. Bravo! Furthermore, you leave me wishing I had the eyes for "N" scale. ;-) Cheers ~ Boomer.

@@RonsTrainsNThings I have always loved the scenic scope of "N" scale. I modeled a section of the Canadian Pacific "Kicking Horse Pass" many years ago in N scale. It was one of my favorite times in the hobby. 😁

@@RonsTrainsNThings hey Ron this maybe off topic from the product you're showing but do you know any tips how to make a scratch build model train body shell, because I just bought a used air fix chassis that needs a bodyshell since it didn't have one.
I have bought alot of showcase miniature vrhicles and every one is awesome

@@RonsTrainsNThings ,hmm i love each of them but i would have to say the tow trucks and all in n scale
Looks good ron love your stuff. Some to add to the truck...maybe some out riggers for stability...just a thought..keep up the great work, very inspiring.
@RonsTrainsNThings

Yes, I should have mentioned it, but the absence of outriggers is the one glaring deficiency of the kit.

It dose look god nice one to have!!!!
CP re trucked 8759 from steerable to HiAd and I’m very prototypical when it comes to my trains. Could you do a tutorial on re trucking models if possible please?
Do they make this kit in HO Scale? I'd like to put this on my layout.
@RonsTrainsNThings

Not this exact kit, but they do have a number of nice work truck kits in HO.

This like is from the Woodland Scenics set. I will modify it a bit, but I will make a video.aboutbitbwhen the time comes.
This is a good one Ron. I always steered away for these. Maybe I will build one now. Did the kit come with feet stabilizers for the Truck? If I get one I may need to add them. Looking forward to see the whole seen put together. Thanks for sharing.
@RonsTrainsNThings

No, the outriggers we're the one item missing from this kit.
👍💯🤗😀😁
Great detail and do not know how you can work on such fine detail. The cylinder rod would not be white would it? 😉
@RonsTrainsNThings
2 жыл бұрын
That was my first thought too, but I observed a number of them and they all seem to be either white or encased in something white, not anoare, silver hydraulic cylinder.
@gvet47

@@RonsTrainsNThings I have to trust your observation. I saw one the other day but it was a crew cab and forgot to look at the cylinder. Maybe a flexcover to prevent eletrical contact?

I think you need outriggers out when working in the bucket.
