Great video! You can pack pipes and tubes with salt/sand to ease the bending! It keeps them from going flat.

Principle is the same as an old fashioned "carburator/venturi". Rushing air will "pull" the liquid up, and mix it with the air flow. Both air and liquid will propel forward. We've had fuel injection around for so long, few remember the main-metering concept, in which an aspirated engine's vacuum of about 20 inches(or less), pulling gas from the carb's bowl, and mixing it with the rushing air into the manifold/cylinders. The holes in the bottle cap are there to vent to atmosphere, thusly making it easier to draw the liquid up. Great project.

If you do that, be sure to close off the tip by 90-95% leaving a very small sliver of an opening so that the flame does not backfire into the bottle and explode, otherwise do not try that or it will definitely end badly for you and those around you.
