Awesome Hunting adventure in British Columbia
Ойын-сауық
If you are against hunting any big game in North America, this video is not for you. I bought a mountain Goat hunt at an auction a few years back and when the time came to do the hunt I added a moose and Grizzly tag. This video is that the first half of that awesome adventure.

Canada has a vast wilderness and they manage their wildlife well, good hunting sir!!!
What did you guys do with the meat all the way out there like that. I always wondered do you guys pack it around in coolers or what.

No need for coolers mate, the meat was frozen within hours.

steveleeilikeguns well I guess that's true. That's still a lot of meat to be keeping with you in bear country.
@steveleeilikeguns

Yes you are right as well also had a moose as well. We had 7 pack horses but as it was so cold the meat froze solid and it seemed to give off less sent. The remaining part of the carcass seemed to keep the bears and wolves away and we only stay in that area for a few days until we moved on. Best trip ever.

@Mark Zoobkoff it's definitely not illegal to hunt goats in BC it is now for grizzly bears but that just passed within the last year
Nice work Steve! Not sure if I could do a bear hunt.... I’m undecided on that one. But huge congrats! Looks like you had a great time. Cheers

Thanks Matt, i also was undecided on whether I would or should hunt a Grizzly until the I heard about the ban. I then did a lot of research and decided I would and it may be the only chance I would ever get. I can see why people aren't keen as they are a beautiful animal but I am happy i did. I definitely had a great time and getting the bear was the icing on the cake.

to each their own. If you don't hunt one nobody will put you down, and same should be done for those who choose to hunt the bear.
How long of a ride is it to get into there by horse
That guide really should have had a gun when you guys were tracking that wounded grizzly into thick cover. Wounded grizzlies in thick cover are extremely dangerous.

@@bearknuckles100 Well Kiwis and Aussie's are a bit different. They want the full experience. I don't want a guide finishing off an animals that I have shot. Not that that has ever happened. Just so you know, the client is a very experienced professional culler that has shot 1000s of feral pigs as well as Water Buffalo which can also be very dangerous.
Park's as in NSW country ?
I'm divided , but I gotta say , an adrenaline rush would be the bear chasing you without you been armed.
well done, steve. nice hunt. I'd prefer something with a little more thump for mountain grizzlies, though.
Not sure if I missed it, but how far did he dash before he collapsed? Majestic animal, still the thought of him stalking you, majestic or not, is shuddering. I wonder what they are doing nowadays if there’s a hunting ban on them...whatever it is, it’s more than likely not gonna be managed right! But yeah, can you remember that distance?
Nice clean kill man it goes to show you that you can't go wrong with the old 30-06.

Congrats on a great hunt and a great bear. Just wonder why the guide was not packing a rifle as you followed up on bear? Is it not law in BC? Usually a guide doesn't let the client lead up to a wounded or dead animal.
Whats with the no gun guide on a bear hunt ?

Yeah I ask the same. I thought it is law in BC and why was the client allowed to go follow up on the bear without the guide? Guide should be leading..not client.

Thanks mate, I wish I could shoot that well all the time. I used a borrowed 30.06 from the guide. It cost him $600. The ammo was factory made. The guide did say that he has many clients who have specialised firearms and ammo that cost 10s of thousands of dollars often don't have the same clean success we had. Even he was impressed with the shot.

Congrats on the beautiful bear ! And yes, you're lucky to have gotten in before they banned grizzly hunting. Approx 225 bear tags issued each year, less than 75% success rate, and a Provincial est. grizzly population of 15,000 bears. Yeah, they needed to ban grizzly hunting...

Thanks mate. I heard for several sources that the ban had nothing to do with sustainability as the grizzly population is high and stable, but simply because the sitting government said that the people just didn't like it anymore. Maybe they should quit there jobs as I have also heard that people don't like them anymore either.

Why not make sure that you are truly saved by Jesus Christ and practice this way. Remorsefully confess with your heart your sins to Jesus Christ who is God and tell Him that you right now are repenting of your sins and you want to be born again of the Spirit from above. Tell Jesus that you are remorsefully sorry for breaking His commandments and that you are begging for forgiveness from Him. Allow His blood from the cross to wash away your sins. After this is done with your heart successfully the Holy Spirit will come to live within you and He will rebuild you from the inside out. Look for signs that you are saved. Things like spreading the good news from Jesus, getting other people saved, a craving for the word of God, reading the Bible, etc… These things are known as a calling and fruit bearing. If you're not bearing fruit then keep doing it. Sometimes it takes time to get saved. Read Matthew chapter 13 from the King James Bible. God bless!!!!!!!

It isn't cheap but it is well worth the cost. Depends on who you go with but the Collingwood Bros out of Smithers BC is my pick. Check with them but most hunts start around US$18,000. Depends on what tags you have. In BC all hunts include a wolf tag.
