Well my gosh this was a good dive! We loved trying out dumpsters in a brand new city, and it definitely did not disappoint. We will have to check that dumpster beside the donation bins again, I could see it being filled with overflow donations on a regular basis. Thank you so much for watching and have a great day xo Movin’ On!

It’s frustrating what they pass up. The laptop will dry out. They only get ruined if plugged in and water gets in them. All electronics dry out. Ugh! 🙄🙄 they take a ton of coasters, but leave a pricey laptop. I hope someone else finds it.

At the first dumpster you overlooked perfectly good and nutricious sweet potato's. The dumpster where you found all the coasters, twice you passed over the new pan that went with the glass lid you took. The craft paper is used by dress makers to make patters and the tool with the little wheel is for pricking out the pattern on the paper.

@@catea2551 I agree with @dianeknight4839 about those sweet potatoes myself. I was going to tell Kelly pretty much the same thing. I would have taken them and peeled them to check if they were okay. They don't go bad that fast. Kelly just knocked over the box and didn't even look in it. And there was something big and yellow in that same box that looked like a spaghetti squash that she didn't look at either.

The water soluble stabalizer is for transfering embroidery patterns to knit or stretchy fabric. You trace or draw the pattern on the stabilizer, baste it to your fabric and stitch the design. Then when you're finished stitching just swish the fabric in warm water and the stabilzer will dissolve. Nice finds today! Thanks for taking us along!

Milk, half and half and heavy cream freeze really well. As do eggs if you stir them up like you would a scrambled egg. Pour however many you eat at a time in a zip bag and freeze flat or in a muffin tin then pop it out after it's frozen and put the egg puck in a bag. You can scramble, bake, make a quiche or frittata with them. They last longer in the fridge than the expiration date but do the water test to be sure. Awesome finds, thanks for bringing us along!

I live in a city of 20,000 plus on the south shore of Montreal Canada. We have several containers provided by our city to every house : 1. for recyclable objects (we are provided a list) 2, for real garbage 3, for objects that can be turned into mulch. We also have special days when large furniture is picked up, and things such as Christmas trees and large garden waste also. On the "garbage " day people place things someone may like carefully beside their bin. I find the situation in which you live re "garbage" extremely unsanitary and wasteful!

I'd be very careful with the dairy and eggs you found. Generally when you see cases of dairy products (milk, eggs, half and half, etc.) thrown away like that, that means they had a cooler failure and it was compromised. Also, just because the outside ambient temperature is around a refrigerator's temperature, it doesn't mean the items are being kept at a safe temperature. Years ago my city got hit with a blizzard and lost power for 14 days. We had our frozen items outside in 12°F temperatures buried in snow and they somehow thawed and spoiled. I'd really hate to see one of the families you're trying to help at the free pantry get sick.

The shallots onions you picked up you can cut off the bottoms and plant them in a pot as it is winter there maybe put the near a warm window...but cut it about a finger length from the roots...they will regrow or put in glass with water they will grow but U need to change it as it will smell... The onions that have started to grow you can plant them aswell.. Also cut the shallots put in freezer bags then take some out when required...then refreeze the rest... Maybe the person was a collector of coasters... I would of taken more of the food...and given it to neighbours or friends...or family...😂😂😂😂😂😂

great score on the grocery dumpster! the 1/2 n 1/2 can be either frozen , turned into ice cream, or there are youtube how to videos demonstrating how to make cheese and butter.

Have you considered donating the craft supplies to a nursing home activity director or to an afterschool or summer program? They’re constantly needing supplies for programs like that

Wash, chop, dry, and freeze green onions . I flash freeze them laid out on a cookie sheet, then put them in plastic bottles in the freezer. You just shake out what you need for your recipe.

Love that idea! I do the same thing with peppers 🫑 and chilies 🌶️ seed them first put them on a tray and then put them in a freezer bag. Try that next time you buy peppers in bulk! Good 👍 Luck

It's good that you all are getting everything type of food that's good to put to use. Throwing away food is a sin and there's lots of hungry people in need of food. Just take everything so that you all can give it to those on the streets, who have nothing, and to those who can use it. I see things that I can use, but, you can't get it to me.
