Seeing how stoked you are puts just as big of a smile on my face 😁. I'm trading in my 5.0 mustang next month for one of these bad boys and the first mods I'm doing is a bypass valve, intake and this awe touring exhaust 😎. Seriously can't wait

Honestly I’m picking up a 21 STI in 20 days, but I would keep the Mustang if it’s an S550, unless you live in an area where u need AWD or need backseats

I just picked up my 2021 STI limited last week I traded my 2019 STI base for it. I took off my Borla S-Type catback and will install it on my new STI.

I saw great reviews on the borla almost got that one but liked the deep and loudness of the track edition on the AWE a bit more but regardless both great choices.

Love the sound! I bought the invidia R400 it’s cool, but the drone on the highway for me can be tiresome. If I could start again I would go for the AWE too!

Nice! I went with the touring edition for something a bit deeper. I cannot wait till mine arrives. I'm in Socal too!! How much they charge you for install?? I'm thinking I want to be lazy and maybe have someone else do it lol. Also - Did you get the leak issue fixed? What die AWE recommend??What did AWE say? Any recommendations for me before I get mine installed?? Thanks!!

Hey brother good choice man yah the touring was too quiet for me lol they charged me $150 but it was worth it just in the fact that the hangers were a pain to take off lol . I havent yet i did email and call AWE and they did send me a new gasket should be here next monday then ima to back to the shop so they can add it and see if it fixes it ill keep you updated bro 🤙🏽

I have this same exhaust on order from AWE for my 16 STI. I am gonna pair it with a MAPerformance catted downpipe and a Cobb SF intake that are sitting in boxes in my garage. Gonna get everything PRO tuned together. Are you on stock Jpipe? I wonder what difference it would make with the MAPerformance jpipe and the Cobb intake.

Hey bro no a catback exhaust will not void your warranty or axle back only a turbo back will void it and any mods to the engine but i would talk to your dealer and ask them directly. I talked to mine and said that as long as they do the work and it’s genuine Subaru parts that nothing would void it but every dealer is different.

Hey, I have a small exhaust leak where the muffler clamps to the y pipe. I don’t hear it but can feel it with my hand and see water dripping on a cold start. Any suggestions?

Hey sorry for the late reply if you haven’t fixed it yet they sell like a type of dough that seals small leaks look it up on Amazon exhaust leak paste

I just saw you mentioned 4.50 a gallon, man its now 5.05 a gallon now fml

How did you fix your exhaust leaks? Just Installed mine and there are leaks on middle joint and back joints.

I have yet to fix it lol been lazy but mine is only the middle joint and for that you need an adapter cuz the stock exhaust is 2.5 and this one is 3’ few sites sell them pretty cheap too i just haven’t ordered one yet. As the back ones those should fit pretty good i had no issues there maybe try re aligning it again and re tighten it up.

Heat shield vibration is louder 😅

Ya you need a gasket since the stock dp is 2” or 2.5 and the exhaust was 3” all the way back i have yet to order mine lol have a small leak where it connects to the dp

Need to start running 93, its a lot better

Once i hit 6th gear theres almost no drone yah you can hear the exhaust but in my opinion its not drone.

Maybe a couple but to see real improvement you would have to tune it but in combination with other mods this is just mainly to wake up that rumble of the engine

Catback/mufflers no. Downpipe yes.

Wouldn’t a axlback not achieve the same thing? Genuine question not hating.

I would be close but not the same since this also removes the mid pipe resonator and the axle back wouldn’t be doing that but it would be an improvement from just plain stock.

@@VelosterRally16_UV okay just wondering. I had an a remark axle back and sold it the same week lol, it was way too loud for me. I got an spt now with a sf intake and protune. 19sti. The remark came off an wrx I think that’s why it wasn’t as loud.

Just pumped 91 at Costco on Monterey. $3.68.

Lines are hit and miss. Depends on what time of the day you go. It’s most likely always busy in the morning, lunch time and at 5pm when people are getting off of work. The only times I’ve gone and there hasn’t been any lines is right before closing time. Which I believe is 9pm lol.

@@VelosterRally16_UV Think about all the money you’d be saving on gas in the long run bro! More money equals more car mods!😉 I would say your best bet would be anywhere from 7-9pm. I just checked their gas hours and it’s 6am-9pm Monday-Friday and 7am-7pm Saturday and Sunday.

@@roosemberth123 yah it does idle a bit strange wen im stopped for a while with the car on and well as i get some exhaust fume smell , the adapter will fix it because the downpipe is 2.5 and the exhaust is 3in so the adapter will make it seal properly at the join stopping the leak

@@VelosterRally16_UV oh true true I don’t have a down pipe on my sti I have whatever stock one came with the car but I’ve herd this exhaust has a lot of leak problems due to the welds being bad but have you experienced anything bad with it besides the leak ? Any other leaks anywhere else ?
