Love all the attention that AWD is getting. I'm with you on waiting it out until more products are developed! It's almost to the point where it's a simple bolt on affair. This time next year I envision 6sec AWD Hondas and bolt on kits from legit manufacturers. This is huge gamer changer for sure!

Trying to find a Wago driveshaft these days is like looking for a needle in a stack of needles. Automotive KND has a ramp up kit for the CRV rear diff that helps with the slipping problem.

I have rear cross member from a wagon with diff brackets and trailing arms, also first Gen CR-V rear differential with driveshaft, do you think those brackets will fit in the cross member to hold the rear diff? And what Cain of rear axles should I use for it, CR-V or wagon? I'm planning to do a Toyota matrix XRS AWD fuel tank and maybe the shaft. Thanks 👍

This is a great, informative video! I have a 5sp 2nd gen crv that I’ve wanted to boost for awhile now, not for big power just for a little more fun on the highways. Would someone from this channel or anyone reading, aside from motor upgrades, recommend beefing up the drivetrain for a ~300hp build? I’ve also found that the pilot has a stronger dual pump differential, it will bolt into my crv with no modification. That option was not discussed in this video, maybe I’m wrong but that might work for somebody as far as diffs go. Thanks again for the info, new sub for the awd adventures!👌😎

You are kinda off on necessary components needed to build an awd civic... I just finished mine, took about a month and it was really not that big of a deal. I wasnt going for big power so I didnt go crazy and try to use the strongest of parts... I used basically the full front clip from the crv (sub frame along with engine and transmission and steering rack with both front axles) along with adjustable suspension front and rear components. I mounted the diff like everyone else and modified the crv trailing arms to fit. I used two right rear crv axles and cut about 3 inches off the driveshaft and welded it back together.. which was extremely difficult to get right..( took a few times)... you make it sound harder than it is.. I bought a manual 2000 crv for $1000 and had everything needed.
