Award Winning El Camino + Catamaran at GSL

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Steve Perry's award winning El Camino parks in the Specialty Class at GSL in May, 2023, because it is towing a Catamaran like the ones Steve used to race. Both scale models are creatively detailed with scratch and modified parts, including using resin and 3D printing. Steve shares all the details with us.
Congratulations to Steve for also taking home awards for his Honda VF 500 Interceptor in the Motorcycle Class, and his Super Marauder in the Custom Class!

Steve always has the most interesting and cool model cars in any show he goes to. His models are not loud and flashy but are usually the best in the show! I am a big fan!

I built models as a kid, form like oh 9-13 yrs old or os, built over 100 maybe I dunno really a lot, I stopped when I had to go out and live in the world take care of myself, my last year at age 12 entered 3 into the washington state fair, won 3rd in the custom division, baby blue 1950 Ford Custom, hot rodded... forget prolly an MPC those were my fave maybe an AMT? brings me way way back, boy....you've done a fine job here... I did cutty sarks, semis, 1/15th diamondbacks . . I enjoyed it thoroughly and it taught me a lot about cars, I built a few working engines as well, where I learned what a crank, pistons, cam, head, block, were, engine internals... such a nice job here

So many great details and explained by the builder. One detail I would like to point out is the trailer hitch, watch for it @ 6:58 - 7:02. Steve has thought it all out.
