Awakening from the Landlocked Self, with Tara Brach

Awakening from the Landlocked Self, with Tara Brach [originally published 2014-09-24]
The Buddha taught that our suffering arises from forgetting who we are. This talk explores the trance of identifying as Somebody, and the compassionate witnessing that allows us to discover the freedom of our natural being.

LOVE this-- "Wisdom tells me I'm nothing, love tells me I'm everything. And between the two... my life flows."

Coagulated. That is the most elegantly succinct single-word summarization I've ever encountered in all of my self-exploration oriented study. (And my Self is a rather vast & oftentimes bewildering place lol). It really expresses the landlocked vibe.

I'm grateful I found this. Ive found a lot of peace practicing RAIN, but find it's difficult to do a formal meditation while I'm "out in the field" so to speak (with others, working etc) which is often when I'm off balance. I'm hopeful to try the smaller version described half way through the video.

Buddha "I would not teach you about the possibility of happiness and freedom if it were not so". Jesus taught the same idea, that letting go of attachment to the world brings peace
