At our passing out in the RAF we had a flypast of three Vulcan's from Waddington little did any of us know at the time within a couple of days they would be gone, it was one of the last times they flew in operational service

I'm pretty sure the AEO crewman at 8:54 was in the TV documentary "617: Last days of a Vulcan Squadron" in 1981.

Blimey, wearing berets on the airfield, that wasn't allowed in my time (1985 - 2005). Headgear was considered to be potential FOD.

Vulcan XM655 is the one at Wellesbourne Airfield in running condition. This one XM656, was struck off charge in 1982-83 and then had it's undercarrage blown off at Cottesmore, for crash/fire training.

How to lose anything - give the item to an RAF supplier RAF admin clerks being helpful....thats not in their training
