The fact that the f15 su27 and gripen are 12.3 is beyond my understanding

and f16c...people forget it but it's on par if not better than those other planes. Probably better than the gripen

@@ccclll987the gripen beats the f16 in a dogfight and has the same kit

When your radar gets chaffed, I'd suggest still holding lock. The sparrow can often still connect because of the CW seekerhead.

True, good point. I didn't realize you had to hold lock on whatever it switched to for the missile to hit the original target!

@@dnlitsuh Planes shooting aim 7m's tend to have better radars with more than just SRC mode, PD can eat through chaff

@@nimbosoup thanks for the reply, I hadn’t played the game for a while and came back recently because of the f15 and economy improvements. Came back to find out that the f4e is a cave man compared to top tier and am now getting used to the latest missiles and the strong radars with bvr, pd, and hdn modes/capabilities!

with the addition of 12.3, 11.0 became the best BR in the whole game

I know its been said but keep lock when the radar gets chaffed as the sparrow is cw which means it goes to the nearest moving thing in its seeker, be it teammates, missiles, rockets or other enemies, so id say that teamkill was accidental as the missile switched targets by itself lol, and you would have gotten many more kills, also take full fuel plus droptank as ive seen that the fuel doesn’t really affect the f-4e strangely but i might be wrong

AIM7E seems much more effective beyond 8km heading on, so i always carry one 7E for first.

Definitely true, 7e is gonna be better for longer ranges. Personally don’t like them cause people in top tier are too smart nowadays and fly low to the ground/know how to dodge radar missiles, but if they work for you, great! Thanks for watching & the comment o7

I find the best loadout is all missiles with a drop tank and 9min of fuel, which seems too little but it's ok if you use first stage ab.

I can make 20 mins work with no drop tank with some halfway decent afterburner management! But I definitely understand not wanting to worry about fuel

@@nimbosoup what I meant is that you use min fuel, 9 minutes, with a drop tank that is 11 minutes. So when you get to the mid map you can use full ab or drop the tank so you're super light and agile
