Straight to it, no beginning story. Thank you. Earned a subscriber. -questions: 1)What about the case spreader .015" for bearing preload? That's tough lifting them in! I've removed the axle to let gravity help, plus the spreader needs accuracy to prevent casting damage. Looking forward to your thoughts, with only 3 rebuilds completed, I've got more to learn. Thanks! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the videos ....Nice to have good tools to work with . Experience matters. I was wondering about brakes . I knew you spoke about a disc brake conversion..

👍👍 I'm definitely no diff pro ...but having an extra set of bearings with a slightly oversized inner race so a person can "slide" them off and on to adjust lash and pattern, aids in the process... having the entire unit on the floor helps too🤣🤣.. 👍👊

Hey man have you got any advice for me I’ve got a Dana 70 and every time I try to put the carrier in and tighten the bolts it gets locked up the caps are in the right spot i took it apart because I was changing the gear ratio but wanted to use all the original stuff because I can’t afford to completely do it right now

Sounds like you need to pull shim from one side and put it on the other. ( lash is to tight )

.008" is way to much wheel end play. .001-.003 is more what I would suggest to shoot for. any more than that and I would expect the seals to be leaking after a few thousand miles.

Ya your right it’s .001-.003. I must of had .008 on my mind as I just finished the back lash. I just cut that piece out the video. Wish I could do a edit on KZread. I have to do one of my trucks new diff. So I will have to do one.
