Yeah this crazy show far ahead I’m compared to my age group I’m turning 23 next month I have 23k in 401k the match 5 percent for my job I maxed out match then max out Roth ira every year since 2021. I put about 18 percent into my Roth 401k and maxing out Roth IRA. I very fortunate to make good money for my age 65k salary but my job has overtime raked in almost 6 figures last year

Been watching for a long time and commenting to support. Would be interested in a video sometime for people whose focus is on fraud and purchase protection for credit cards. After a year of learning about multipliers and transfer partners, I think I’ve decided I just want a card that protects what I already have and good customer service 😂 parking my money mostly in discover and Amex I think. Thanks for the vids

Thanks for the update. A video idea maybe explaining how the Federal Reserve is a private group that controls the U.S.A. money supply? Don't see that covered much outside of economic classes and a few other inside ("the park") circles. Also any thoughts on the rule changes on the ole game of baseball?

Wonder how accurate these numbers are? For instance i have money in a SEP, ROTH IRA, Brokerage Account and High Yield savings. So if you just looked at my SEP you would not have the whole picture.

See. If it goes based on average or median, I am doing well for my age. If it goes by that mutiplier of how much you should have to maintain a lifestyle, I'm coming up pretty short.

@@ProudMoney and, to clarify, if you're 25 or whatever and START making 40k (and end at 90k salary), are they saying you should have 400k at the time of retirement or 900k? Usually people's salaries go up after 4 decades of work (if you're in a professional career, at least).

900k, but really it is based on what is going to feel comfortable for you going forward.

@@moobsi think the issue with 401Ks is that they reinforce the terrible idea that a good stock market means a good economy, which is absurd. The top 10% own like 81% of the stock market and the next 10% owns 11%, which means the bottom 80% owns 8%. Propping up the stock market online helps the wealthy, which has been a growing issue for literally 4+ decades.

-panek facts about the inequality of wealth distribution of stocks or whatever should have basically no bearing on your own personal retirement savings and wealth accumulation. not to mention a 401k does not technically need to be based on stocks. also OP is invested in stocks just in a taxable account which is stupid when he could use Roth IRAS

Make sure you're contributing enough to get your full employer match. That's an immediate ROI ranging from 50% to 100% to sometimes even more.

@@dh2266 i put 16% of my salary towards my retirement. My employer does 30% up to 10% contribution (so, +3% if you do 10%). I am trying to kinda catch up towards a late start on contribution.
