I used to sing this song with my brother on repeat. He died last year and this part hits so hard "Plans of what our futures hold, foolish lies of growing old. He was 29 years old and just got married couple months before. I keep coming back to this song and thinking about him. It always ends up with me in tears, but it helps.

this one is better because the vocal mix a little buried by other instruments in other live versions, but here, you can hear clearly the most subtle nuance of matt's vocal

Martin Rønning he’s amazing, people are like “Oh Matt’s getting old...” - yeah course he is that’s what happens to people, but he can still sing like almost no other, hitting them high notes, half screaming, and portraying emotion in his singing better than most other singers could ever do. My daughter died in '19. Her Make a Wish was to meet A7X and sing with them. They granted her wish!! They sang this together back stage prior to their show. It's very hard for me to listen to this song as I hear her voice singing it.

These guys are so incredibly wholesome. First time seeing this video and it’s great. Been a fan for 20+ years, met them about 15 years ago and they are just as genuine today.

I love how Matt started the song purely for the kid at first, I feel the pure warm affection in his voice as he sang and stared at the kid. And then he progressed to sing for the sake of the song itself as he poured more of his emotion in the song. Lovely.... 🥺

Well, for their standard i think "So Far Away" is actually an easy song to play in acoustic, even the original version uses the acoustic guitar. All they did here was just swapped syn's guitar, hence why he played a little awkwardly. I'd be really blown away if they'd figured out an acoustic version of beast and the harlot. lol

I lost my 22 year old baby last year and a guy at my work starts blasting Avenged. They go on smoke break, this song starts blasting, and now I'm fucked up emotionally at work and I have to hide it. Just heard this song last year about 2 months before my best friend's wife passed. I hadn't spoken with him in over 4 years (friends since 1974) over some extreme BS that was totally my own fault. I remember being a teenager listening to Metal Music and thinking, "This is just a phase, when I get older, I will be listening to my parents' music" Well, I am an established 55-year-old businessman from SLC Utah and A7X is easily my favorite band. This was my first time seeing this video and it really moved me. You guys are amazing musicians! Thank you!

This band reflects my emotions in every way. I have lost one of my best friends in the earthquake in Türkiye on 06.02.2023. We even could not find his body. Every time I listen to this beautiful song, it speaks for me and I am just in tears… I hope Tamer is happy wherever he is now. Pain is temporary they say, I hope it is… From my soul to Tamer’s. Sometimes simple works. Gates is a pro player, he knows when to rip and he knows when to let it lay low. A nearly perfect band in my view. I grew up watching gigs in the 1980s, the shit that inspired A7X, these guys are doing it right, I stand behind them every day.

It's moments like these that make you guys so great as a band and makes me proud to be a fan amd consider you my favorite band. The set was done, you weren't supposed to play another song. But a little boy wanted to hear So Far Away, so you say you'll do the first verse. And you just end up doing the whole song anyway just for him. Another example, I went to Philly to see you guys with Metallica and Volbeat. And I love both Metallica and Volbeat but went to see you. And you guys had to cancel cause of Brian's wife going into labor. Most bands you'd see would just have a tech replace a band mate if they can't do it, but you didn't. The entire band went with him to be there for his wife instead of just continueing on without him. That is why in my opinion, you guys are the greatest band alive today.

when they said "aww" after the kid requested it, i was like "damn, that hit them hard. they must really miss jimmy" i havent heard this song in years and stumbled upon it through recommendations. i had chills the entire time. A7X used to be my favorite band
