"That's for you, buddy" How humble they are. The Legend!
I used to sing this song with my brother on repeat. He died last year and this part hits so hard "Plans of what our futures hold, foolish lies of growing old. It seems we're so invincible, but the truth is so cold. Now and then i try to find, a place in my mind. Where you can stay, you can stay away forever." He was 29 years old and just got married couple months before. I keep coming back to this song and thinking about him. It always ends up with me in tears, but it helps.

Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned Place and time always on my mind I have so much to say but you're so far away Plans of what our futures hold Foolish lies of growing old It seems we're so invincible The truth is so cold A final song, a last request A perfect chapter laid to rest Now and then I try to find A place in my mind Where you can stay You can stay away forever How do I live without the ones I love? Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned Place and time always on my mind And the light you left remains But it's so hard to stay When I have so much to say and you're so far away I love you, you were ready The pain is strong and urges rise But I'll see you, when He lets me Your pain is gone, your hands untied So far away (so far) And I need you to know So far away (so far) And I need you to, need you to know

You mean sing right
Never feared for anything Never shamed but never free A life to heal the broken heart with all that it could Lived a life so endlessly Saw beyond what others see I tried to heal your broken heart with all that I could Will you stay? Will you stay away forever? How do I live without the ones I love? Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned Place and time always on my mind I have so much to say but you're so far away Plans of what our futures hold Foolish lies of growing old It seems we're so invincible The truth is so cold A final song, a last request A perfect chapter laid to rest Now and then I try to find A place in my mind Where you can stay You can stay away forever How do I live without the ones I love? Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned Place and time always on my mind I have so much to say but you're so far away Sleep tight, I'm not afraid (not afraid) The ones that we love are here with me Lay away a place for me (place for me) 'Cause as soon as I'm done I'll be on my way To live eternally How do I live without the ones I love? Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned Place and time always on my mind And the light you left remains But it's so hard to stay When I have so much to say and you're so far away I love you, you were ready The pain is strong and urges rise But I'll see you, when He lets me Your pain is gone, your hands untied So far away (so far) And I need you to know So far away (so far) And I need you to, need you to know
Matt channeling that little bit of pain that never goes away no matter how much time passes to hit those last notes. Powerful stuff.

Sometimes simple works. Gates is a pro player, he knows when to rip and he knows when to let it lay low. A nearly perfect band in my view. I grew up watching gigs in the 1980s, the shit that inspired A7X, these guys are doing it right, I stand behind them every day.
It's moments like these that make you guys so great as a band and makes me proud to be a fan amd consider you my favorite band. The set was done, you weren't supposed to play another song. But a little boy wanted to hear So Far Away, so you say you'll do the first verse. And you just end up doing the whole song anyway just for him. Another example, I went to Philly to see you guys with Metallica and Volbeat. And I love both Metallica and Volbeat but went to see you. And you guys had to cancel cause of Brian's wife going into labor. Most bands you'd see would just have a tech replace a band mate if they can't do it, but you didn't. The entire band went with him to be there for his wife instead of just continueing on without him. That is why in my opinion, you guys are the greatest band alive today.
