@@JonqsSimulationsOfficial I saw them live at the concert. In 2023 He sounds great and I’m thankful he can sing but he’s using a different technique for his screams it doesn’t sound the same. Watch their older videos and you’ll see what I mean. I get they’re aging and Matt damaged his vocals a few years ago I just refuse to accept it 😭

Best Matt has sounded in over a decade. Very impressed with how much progress he’s made since they started touring again last year. Slowly starting to sound like his old self again

@@zerozerozero_0It’s because he has mic monitoring and he’s pushing the earphone back in and pushing it in deeper so he can hear himself properly and make sure he’s hitting the right notes, especially on the harder parts vocally. Believe it or not, as a vocalist or any band member, you literally cannot hear yourself unless you have some sort of monitoring. I played as a drummer in a fairly successful band for a long time and we played 300 - 400 people shows. Without monitoring for not just my kit but for the other band members, like lead guitar and vocals - I was fucked as I wouldn’t be able to hear shit.

I wanna how he completely overhauled his singing. 05-11 he was the best singer in rock/metal then he went through a few years where his voice sounded really damaged and sounded like he was struggling to hit some notes. But it seems like the rest after The Stage did wonders for him. So glad he’s back to sounding amazing!

It's not just rest, but daily rehab and lessons with vocal professionals for 5 years now since he damaged his throat. The recovery took a lot of work

It was years and years of recovery and training. It payed off really nice. They usually just rest and go back to it, without training. Matt did the hardest part.

Yeah on top the rest and practice in recent years, he also admitted to having no technique in the earlier years and would typically burn his voice out 3 songs into shows. That kinda singing is gonna catch up at some point haha.

That technical issue is hilarious. That actually happened to my band once. We also use in ear monitors and the mains to the front of house went out, we had absolutely no idea because our mix was fine. After the show, someone actually came and told us, and they were like " how did you guys keep going like that?!" had no idea what he was talking about lol

The only thing is that some (very few) of the harminized lead parts are just played by Gates with some sort of harmonizer effect on but most of them are legit duals played by both players. Other than that what you see is what you get.

Nice, but they had the mics on the bass drums up too high and they sounded like shit muddying up the rest of the mix in a significant amount of their performance. I blame it on their sound guy. He wasn't adjusting it down when the drummer was pumping.

Yeah the whole day had poor kick and floor mixing and sometimes the bass guitar was too loud

The crowd was flat because we don't know/care about half the songs they played. Nightmare buried alive hail ect, crowd were amazing. Whereas during some of the new experimental things, people just looked bored

Tbh, I heard from soo many people the headliners were terrible. People just dont get LIBAD... and they were probably sick of the weekend. Therefore, probably weren't vibing to it. From someone who loves the new album it was magical and the stage theatrics were great!
